I've just watched this movie for the first time, and it may be the most unintentionally funny movie I've ever seen.

Huh, this probably shouldn't get GringoTex hot under the collar or anything. He probably got a full body shudder the second you hit "post".

PS. It's a damn good movie...I'm sorry you couldn't appreciate it.

I didn't say I didn't appreciate it. It's a great movie. The whole first 30 minutes while Mrs. Robinson is trying to seduce him is just plain funny.

I guess the problem is that the whole Mrs. Robinson thing has been imitated and lampooned so much that it's lost its spark?

What are you talking about? "Unintentionally funny?"

It's a comedy. It's SUPPOSED to be funny.

Did you hear that there is actually going to be a Graduate sequel? Well, sort of a sequel--it's not really the same characters, but characters that are related to those in the original, with a similar (but different) situation.

Makes me think of the part in The Player, when Buck Henry is pitching the idea of a Graduate sequel to Tim Robbins' character.

The Graduate is a great film, even if the scene at the zoo is incredibly trite, and if the college is USC and not Berkeley.
