I was adding up how many games I'm going to attend this fall and was astounded by the number.
Right now, I have 54 games that I've already done or have remaining on my schedule to referee.
My son has at least 18 high school games.
We're visiting 12 colleges and watching their games.
I've already seen 4 other local area games either because it involved a couple top teams or because a friend's kid was playing.
That's 88.
If the scheduling holds true to form, I'm sure I'll pick up another 4 to 6 games to referee. I'm sure I'll see another 3 to 6 games between big teams, our high school girls games, my son's girlfriends team, etc. And my son's will likely get at least 1 playoff game, possibly 2 (their a little down this year, so I don't see a long run in the state playoffs). So that's another 8 to 12 games.
I'll personally be involved in or attend a total of 96 to 100 games this fall.
This is just for the fall high school season -- mid August to end of October.
What are the rest of you guys doing? Just curious.
