Vikash Dhorasoo (Milan AC) and Louis Saha (Manchester United)
replace
Alou Diarra (Lens) and David Trezeguet (Juventus)
I am happy for Vikash. Isn't the Italian league starting in early September though, so I doubt he's gonna see much action for there games ?
Israel brings back pretty bad memory from the WC 94 qualifiers :(
I am already worried.

You shouldn't worry. The players that played for Israel on October 13, 1993 are all gone. Two very different squads with France having won the past three times the countries have met.

Barthez out with ankle injury, will not play in either qualifiers. Landreau called up.

Does anyone know why Anelka keeps getting snubed by every France coach? I know he's been immature in the past but why doesnt he get another chance? Is Domenech going to try and use him? He could have been valuable in Euro2004 with Cisse banned.
Also, does anyone think that it will be necessary for one or more of the veterans (say Thuram) to come out of retirement at any point during the qualification process?

I think Anelka is a very good player, but his temprement is suspect...He refused the call after the fromer french coach called up for a friendly after some first-choice strikers dropped out with injury. Anelka spat out his dummy and refused to be called up, saying that he was not good enough in the first-place, so they can't appreciate him....
Anyways, he got a three match ban...Which is only valid for games in the French league. He might want to call him up, but I don't know what the reaction in France will be like...
Besides, I think France should be looking at their younger talent...Especially the one which dazzled in the Le Tournoi....
France need to look to the future and get young talent in now...Just like what England are doing....Zizou has retired and we should do our best to find the next one in the youth teams. Ligue 1 is crawling with talent.
Personally I think Ludovic Guily can do a smashing job in Zizou's place...

They recently played Germany. I think Germany scored two late goals in Torshavn for a 2-0 victory. The game in Germany was a 2-1 loss for the Faroe Islands. They (Faroe Islands) hit the post late in the game....
I can't imagine France having any problems with the Faroe Islands.

Yeah....I can remember Germany scoring two in the last minute at Torshavn...
