yes he was, if anybody watched "estelares del deporte colombiano" on caracol internacional, they went thru his entire life, from his beginnings to playing in France (monpellier) and back in Colombia to finally the MLS, the best was in Italy '90 the go ahead pass to Rincon to tie W. Germany, that was sweetness.

lets give credit where credit is due, in the 5 - 0, Asprilla scored one beutiful goal, and gave Rincon his 2nd with a nice go ahead pass. Asprilla could have been great, he was for a while, but he didn't know how to handle his fame, and also cause since he was at war with the Colombian newspapers, they added to his "badboy" reputation.....

Rincon didn't play in Real Madrid, he went to Valladolid, with Pibe and René, but they didn't have luck, then el palomo usuriaga also went to spain, but again no luck. Rincon played his best in Brasil...

and I don't agree with Giovanni been the best midfielder of all time, hes not regular enough to be called that, I think Oviedo lately has done better, how about Pachequito?
