Starting at 7 PM eastern, and ending well after the game, ESPN2 is having a "behind the scenes" look at what goes into the production of a college football telecast.
The game itself will start at 7:45 on ESPN.
Anyone planning on checking out ESPN2? It's not a true "raw feed", but it should provide some fun. (keep in mind that Friday night has "This is SportsCenter at 10 PM on ESPN, followed by a behind the scenes look at SportsCenter, while it airs on ESPN2.)
As for the game itself, no Marcus Vick, this game should be well over by half time.
And yeah, this thread is only a few days early, but since this is the first major game of college football season, let's get it started. It's gonna be a wild season. Yet another tinkering with the BCS, and IMO I don't think it's right, but that's another thread.

I certainly hope you're right. The spread is 18 (Caliente), but I remember us being 'dogs against Auburn last year, too. But yeah, trying as hard as I can not to be too cocky, we're pretty much going to blow them away, Vick or no Vick. I'm guessing 45-21, with most of VaTech's 21 coming in the 4th, when Coach Carroll sends in the scrubs.

We've got a very inexperienced team this year. I'd like to think it's going to be close, but our starting RB is coming off of injury, and his backup was suspended with Vick. We may have a true freshman doing a lot of the running. Randall's an OK QB, but I think we'd need a career performance from him to have a chance.
As for the defense, they couldn't stop anyone when it counted (including Temple, who took us into OT). Going to be a problem again this season.

USC 31 VT 13 One more Trojan TD and you would have had it :(

That was alot closer than I would've figured. I was actually pulling for VT during the game, I like upsets. But this morning I opened up my 2 local papers and saw atleast 3 articles saying the ACC is the best conference in football  . "Look! now we have Miami AND Florida State! Plus 10 other POS teams!!!!" How can the best conference in football have Duke, Wake Forest, AND UNC. I fail to see how Virginia going to be any good this year, they just lost their best QB in school history to the NFL, and they're getting better??? Clemson, overrated. Top 25? yes, but 15? no way. The SEC has LSU and Georgia as title contenders this year, but next year it might be Tennessee and Florida, or Auburn.
So after reading these's idiots articles I started to wish USC had kicked the sh** outta VT. At halftime, perhaps the stupidest, flip-flopping person on the planet, Trev Alberts, decided that since VT was ahead at halftime of the first game of the season, that helped make the ACC the best conference.
Sorry for the rant....

Trev Alberts has one brain cell, and he leaves it at home out of fear that he'll lose it somewhere. The man has no business in front of a mic. The SEC is the greatest conference in college football.
