Ptown: I still dont get why any true Colombian would want to identify themselves with the illegal, violent, damaging, corrupt drug world?

I hope that its America vs Equpidad .... its the final noone saw coming
and Nacional has no strikers.... and are already in the Copa Lib.
I want Equpidad to win it as long as they dont dismantle their team.... if thats happens prefer America to win

the forum is technically english, is it not? It's 'BigSoccer' not 'Futbolgrande'.
Obviously you have the right to free expression. But I disagree in your thought process. It's our responsibility to change the image of our country, especially to those who don't know any better.
The reality exists. We all know that we still have huge issues in Colombia. The drug pariah has fueled so much evil in our country (and the world), that it has made us accept what shouldn't be acceptable. People will always be quick to judge. But how can we expect others to do right when we mock ourselves with the same type of ignorant, negative propaganda?
It's like the 'n' word that hip-hop has in turn 'branded' so well. Yet it wants to create a double standard when 'others' use it. We all know you can't have it both ways. What's more dangerous then to have a 'humorous' approach(as you mention) to a deeply sensitive issue?

like i said before i don't really care what the outside world thinks about us because i know what Colombia has to offer and it's their loss if they don't know that... i respect your opinion but me personally im not willing to take on that 'fruitless' responsibility because like you say its a reality as long as people use drugs in the world there is little we can change... and these people that critisize and stereotype Colombia should just 'remain silent and be thought a fool, than speak and remove all doubt' because if you really think about it who are the ones that use 80% of the drugs produced in Colombia?

Italians wear shirts of the mob and Al Copone and shit like that all the time
Pablo > Scarface > Tony Soprano > Al Copne or the God father
but all these others are Fake or happened a long time ago.... Pablo's effect is still being felt by many but he was the baddest mob boss around. guess u can feel pride for that but its not really like the mob and crime is a good thing... think that pride in that or being proud of that is kind of foolish or a little kid thing to do. Maybe you played one to many games of Grand Theft Auto
I dont really see problem with drugs like if u want to ******** up ur life thats ur fing problem. Dont see why americans talk so much shit about us when they buy 80% of our drugs and then look down on us. Weed and Cocaine isnt legal because its not made by europeans or americans. If it was a product that came from England it would so be legal. If the US could tax it or steal 70+ % of the profits from the distribution of it, it would be legal in no time. Tobacoo and liquor is also bad for you but people do it and lobbyist and government officials make sure we keep them around so the rich stay richer

Crazed, what did you do during the weekend? You are brilliant today... :p
As a matter of fact, a liquor that was banned during most of 20th century (due to its alleged hallucinogenic properties) is now legally imported...
