Congrats good way to split for such a popular board IMO. I'm not part of any group just a fan-but just wondering, what about a board for La Norte?

it's an experiement. it could suck and we'll take away. want to give SCs a home. if it's a disaster, like always we'll kill it. but we will ignore feedback during the inevitible "boiling over" period that happens whenever we try something and we all go this sux this rox and don't really know anything

Yet another bad idea.
This will spawn the inevitable - the SEs have more posts than Barra Brava so they are the better supporters group - argument.

Hey, we don't need no stinkin post count to point that out! :p
And uh, this is really REALLY stupid. If we have member only info we send it directly to our members. Anything else is up for public consumption.
Instead of splitting the board up why don't we just work on making the posts on one board more interesting.

I've been around, and see LaNorte, SE, and Barra threads all the time. For example just looking up Screaming Eagle in the title:

My guess is most everyone would still populate the big DC board. And not everyone wants to see Screaming Eagle-related stuff. Seems a great way to grow a group-heck I'm on a soccer team and would like my own team board administered and paid for by BigSoccer. Threads like "Party on Saturday!", "Scrimmage-anyone want to come?", stuff that doesn't belong on the big board.....
Anyways that's just my opinion........I'm out good luck

This experiment is even stupider than the United N&A debacle at the beginning of the season. The SEs, Barra, and LN have spent a great deal of time here discussing how we can be more unified...and now we're separated?

Just because our forum is the best doesn't mean you guys have to ************ around experimenting with it repeatadly.
I think DC United and their fans have been through enough of this "tampering from the top" management styles through the first few years of existance. Now it seems to have returned, again.
Despite some complaints about a lower level of quality around here recently, I believe that the issue was being dealt with well by the moderators recently and starting to improve again.
If you want to experiment and see what works on a troubled board, why don't you send this over to the other forums first, and if it actually works THEN give the better forums the option to go with it.

I'll add in my two cents: this is stupid.
I don't need to say any more, since this thread and the rest of these stupid split SC fora will be gone soon.
