For what it's worth, here's my prediction:
===========Howard===========
G Neville=Keane=Silvestre=O'Shea
Fletcher=Djemba=Kleberson=Giggs
==========Scholes===========
===========Smith============
With confirmation that Kleberson and Fletcher will both be playing I see this team as the most likely line-up. If it were me picking the team (I wish!) The only differeneces I would possibly make would be to start Bellion on the right, moving Fletcher inside at the expense of Kleberson but that's not going to happen.
I'd also give serious consideration into bringing in Phil Neville to replace O'Shea. From what I've seen so far this season O'shea hasn't been at his best, just like last season. He's pretty much played in a different position in every game so far which couldn't have helped but I'd like to see Phil get a game.
Kleberson is just leagues ahead of Fletcher in terms of offense... and really not that bad defensively despite his lack of size, just as long as he is not DM he will be good defensively because his presure often forces mistakes from players... On Fletcher's best days he has not gotten any where close to the level Klebs reached when he got a few starts... However, I do prefer Fletcher on the RW than Klebs and of course above Bellion... Ronaldo should be on the bench, but be prepared to play a half if necessary and probably the last 30 mins for sure... with DjDj, Klebs and Fletch in midfield we will make things very hard for them in midfield, however if we get a goal or two early... Giggs should come right off for Richardson... Unless we buy Figo, (in which case Ronaldo would play both wings on occasion) I cant see Giggs getting must rest this season...

I think the KFC Presidency is blurring your view ;) ; while I wouldn't say Fletcher is necessarily a better player than Klebs, you do remember his performance against Arsenal in the Cup semi last year. Klebs had some good appearances last year, but to say Fletcher's performances weren't near Klebs' level is nonsense.

Maybe it is because he did not play a lot, or maybe it is because he is always hurt, but Kleberson has shown me nothing in his one year at Old Trafford. I hope he turns it around this year. I do not care what he did in the 2002 World Cup, that is long past and I only care about what he is doing now. It would be great for him and the team if he could play at a high level and stay healthy this season. However, I just do not see that happening. Hopefully today is the start of a breakthrough season for Kleb!

Klebs IMO didn't have a day when his game was superb last season. Against Everton in December he was great, and he did perform well in many others, but he still has yet to fulfill his potential and Fletcher had some performances where you had to simply bow down.

As the Charter President of Fletcher's United Club Of Fans (or FUCOF for short), I'd just like to pass on this quote from Keane in the latest issue of United Review:
"I try not to harp on about a player but he impressed me from the very first moment I saw him. He has got the potential to be outstanding. He's got unbelievable talent but he's got a good head on him and that's what I like about Fletch. He could be up there"

Maybe our groups should merge. As founder of the Fletcher Fan Society, FFS for short, we have been promoting the good name of Darren Fletcher in the bowels of many a pub, it's time to go global.

Hmm... The BSLSDC (big soccer Louis Saha Defence Council) should be a partner.
That's unless you two are also Saha haters, 50 and Motts!
I've always also thought much of Fletch, his strength (footballing intelligence or 'good head on his shoulders' as Keano put it) is Ronaldo's weakness IMO. Too bad Fletch can't leave 5 defenders in his wake...

I'm currently a Saha neutral, but obviously hope for big things out of him. I've been impressed with his play thus far, hopefully he'll be back for the weekend.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Motterman again :D

Gentlemen, we have the technology. We can combine the fancy footwork with the hard-nosed tackling. The ability to make experienced defenders look like children with the threat of a random red card. The backheel pass with the deceptively simple forward pass.
We can create... FLETCHALDO!!!

Yeah, bow down at his ability to give the ball away and contribute little to the attack, not to mention his inability to cross the ball so of course he spends half the season at right wing. :-)

I don't know if you remember the creative crisis ManU suffered at the beginning of last season when both Scholes and Ole were injured and we were depending on Fletcher at RW and a combo of Phil and Keane in central midfield... but I do remember it, and I also remember that when played in Scholes' position, his natural position Kleberson played supremely... not good, not above average... supremely... his passing was/is worlds above Fletcher... ok, not the basic short pass but I mean, creative through balls and such are much better from him than Fletch. Klebs only got I think somewhere between 3 and 5 games on the trot last season and right in the middle of those games he had a 2 game run of 1 goal and 3 assits one of which was a sublime backheel to set up someone or the other... Motterman should remember this... but anyway... yes Klebs has not played much... yes Fletcher is more physical than him and yes, in an emergency I would much rather Fletcher play the positions RW and DMC, however, in replacing Scholes, or playing as a Central midfielder with BOTH attacking and defensive duties I rate Kleberson well above Fletcher... but then again... I am the founder and President of the KFC... However I have nothing to do with the breakaway faction who have bad feelings towards Fletcher as they feel he is taking minutes away from Klebs... they call themselves God Fletcher You Sh!t... also commonly known as Go F... Your Selves..
