What is the most blatant Handball goal you've ever seen besides the 1986 Hand of God?

1997-98 Serie A season. Perugia-Napoli late in the season. Napoli looking desperately for points to avoid our first relegation in 33 years. Hard work gave us a 1-0 lead going into the final minutes. I believe it was minute 77 or so, Perugia corner. Corner taken, Rapajc (the Croation forward) leaps in the air and spikes the ball with his hand better than most volleyball players at the Olympics. Everyone saw it except for the ref. I believe the linesman may have mentioned it to the ref who was still uncertain, so what does he do? He goes up to Rapajc and asks him "did you hit the ball with your hand?" Rapajc not having the same integrity as Robbie Fowler when he once told a ref he hadnt been fouled after all, does not answer and shies away from the ref like a child who knows he has done something wrong and avoids his parents, with some help from his teammates. The ref allowed the goal to stand and the match ended 1-1. Napoli ended up going down. Not that the extra 2 points would have done much but regardless, we were clearly robbed. To this day I cant stand that fudgenut Rapajc.

P. Gallagher's goal against Newcastle this year was pretty blatant. I don't know how the ref missed it.

Most blantant one?
That's hard.

may be Raul's handball in Cl 99.

After the game, he said " Even Maradonna did it, and why people blame me?"

After that, I thought
Raul was in a serious hallucination
After I heard such hilarious interview, he made me think in this way...

Raul thinks he is in the same level with Maradonna

I'm not sure about the player's name, but during the semi-final, 2nd leg of the 1990 European Cup, Benfica scored what looked to be a blatant deliberate handball goal with five minutes to play against Marseille. It was the only goal of the match and put Benfica into the final on the away goals rule. ;)

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank's diving arm swoop last week against newcastle. The ref allowed the goal to stand

It wasn't a goal, but rather was a save. I somewhat remember an NCAA championship match one time in the 80s. I don't remeber the winner and only remember that one of the 2 teams involved was Indiana Univeristy.

The rules then were to break a tie, you played sudden death until someone scored. The game was in 8th 10-minute overtime. One of the players (on team A) had the goalie beat and kicked the ball toward the net and it looked like a certain goal to win the championship. A player on the defending team (team B) dove towards the ball with his arm fully outstreched and punched the ball away from the goal with his fist. It couldn't be a more blatant case of a hand ball in the box. The referee refused to call a penalty (possibly didn't want a penalty to decide a game after 80 extra minutes of play I guess) much to the astonishment of team A. Sure enough team B scored on the other end a few minutes later to win the title.

There was one in the Asian Cup 2004 final.
In a corner the ball went over the goalie and the ball should have gone passed a japanese player almost hitting his stomach and somehow the ball ended in the goal.

1986 wasn,t the only time Maradona used his hand. He used it in the 1990 World cup to claer a ball off the line when Argentina played the U.S.S.R. His save helped them progress from the group. Strangely the ref was the same ref that counted two offside goals for Belgium against the Soviets. The ref must not like the Soviets.

Milan Vs ROma :Sheva off the totti freekick, during the near end of the season. Totti kicked the ball and as it went over the wall sheva just blantly punched up in the sky. The ref didnt "see" anything and no penalty was awarded. Thats Italian football for you!

Actually it was Torsten Frings. A British paper ran the headline for the game: "Frings Get Worse".

The worst handball I've seen was a defender about 25 yards away from goal just reaching up and swatting a ball out of the air that would have put or left midfielder through on goal. Ref only deemed it a yellow card for some reason.
