I just can't take it anymore.
We cannot keep a decent player in this team!. We have lost every top one in the world at one point or another: Di Stefano :p , Maradona, Ronaldo, Figo, Rivaldo, Stoitchkov...and those we didn't lose, we kicked them out!, Romario, Stoitchkov, Laudrup, Schuster...how many FIFA World Players we've had, how many lasted more than a couple of years, how many left pissed off!... For god's shake, we can't even keep our own nationals together, how did Guardiola end up in Qatar? Ferrer in Chelsea, Sergi at Atletico, etc...? they were the idols of the fans, some of the best that La Masia had to offer...they didn't even get a good bye game!.
We can talk about how ridiculous Real Madrid was with their "Pavones" policy (even the name sounds like a farmer's invention). Isn't Cesc at Arsenal, Pique at Manchester, Sergio Garcia at Levante, Luque at Deportivo and even Celades at Real Madrid, Roger at Villareal? The list is much longer. We had to take Dani back for a load of money and then put him in the bench for that loser of Kluivert, thanks god we finally got rid of him.
And what was it with the 9 dutch players, one brasilian (Rivaldo), and one catalonian (Guardiola) playing in the first 11?. I thought that Barcelona was so much more than a club for its people.......not for the people of Holland!
We finally get youngsters coming out, high quality players. Thanks to us the Spaniards are getting titles at u-19 and u-21!. Oh, they performed so well to let us recover last season and reach the glorious 2nd position: Iniesta, Xavi, Luis Garcia....what a midfield that was!. Now we go and buy a bunch of midfielders, defenders and strikers and may be lucky enough to watch Xavi this year. Well, Puyol and Valdes too. 3 out of 11. Cesc is becoming at star in the EPL. But wait, isn't our school so much better than the failure of the Pavones at Real? I think I am going to watch Arsenal a little more. How much we enjoyed talking about Pavon, Bravo, Miņambres, Borja, Ruben, Mejia...at least we finished second.
In my final decision of renegating from supporting Barcelona, I must also add that if Real Madrid is having the worst year of their recent history not having earned a single title in the whole season, and they made such a big deal about it, renovated the team, bought stars and set it up to do better this year...what have we been doing for the past 5?. We have spent over 170 mill. in players, we have purchased over 24, and look what we got: if it wasn't for Ronaldinho we would have been fighting Real Sociedad to stay in 1st!.
Oh yes, Real Madrid finished 4th, we beat them.
How can I support a team like this. I'd rather that Abramovich had purchased us instead of Chelsea.
