Is it true?

France wont make number "10" available to wear by the players, at least for a while?

Can't imagin someone other than Zidane wearing that shirt :(.

I dont like this. Argentina had a 10 after Maradona. Italy a 10 after Baggio. Football isnt like american sports where numbers are retired.

Indeed.

Football is a team sport above all. American Sports promote superstar mentality. Footballis about teamwork and as such bar one player playing all 11 roles simultaneously there should never be JERSEY retiring in the beautiful game.

Talking about numbers,

What's with the 21 number ?

Zidane had it at Juventus
and
his buddy Dugarry had it with France squad

isn't that a good question ?

as long as France beat the opponent, it's not a big problem

Dugarry's ALWAYS worn the number 11 or 21 for every team he's been on.

Actually, what do you mean by your question? heh

The question is:

is it a coincidence Zidane and Dugarry wore at some point the same squad number ?

Not that I care but it makes the schmillblic (sp ?) advance :)
