Per Jonno:

We will poll Inferno members to decide where will be located so join now to have your say.

Just to summarize some of the important points:

1. The Burn/FC have said they will support our right to stand/cheer/wave flags/bang drums if we choose to stand on the sideline or in the end zone.

2. The Burn/FC have said they will help in that regard by creating a buffer zone around us so that we don't have people complaining they can't see.

3. The Burn have said they will also help in this regard with signs etc advertising our area as such & will warn people buying tickets near us.

4. The Burn have expressed their desire to have us behind the goal but also said they will accept & help us wherever we choose to stand.

5. IF we chose to go sideline it would be more difficult for the Burn to create a buffer zone etc the closer we got to midfield. Even within the same price range for seats the demand will be higher toward the niddle of the field & it will be more difficult for the Burn/FC to hold off selling seats near us.

6. The teams will enter the stadium from the NorthWest corner & not pass by either the East sideline or endline in their pre-game procession.

7. FC Dallas are going to shoot towards the South end in the 2nd half.

8. All 4 corner sections have plaza areas above them (with presumably corporate types in them) so the Burn/FC have expressed their desire not to have us right beneath them.

9. The most likely options on the sideline are 123 (SE) or 131 (NE).
123 puts us more in the middle of the crowd & closer to the south end for 2nd half atmosphere/cauldron purposes.

131 puts us further away from south end so reduces possible conflicts with groups in the south end & might lead to greater overall noise levels by spreading out the noise. Might isolate us a bit more though.

South end obviously has price advantages plus the cauldron effect but view is disliked by many.

I will use this thread to post official Inferno information and communication.

The debates surrunding decisions can take place - but not in this thread.

Consider this your place to look for Inferno Press Release Info.

PM me if you want something added.

Since we've got our own little supporter's forum = might as well open it up for discussion here.

I just spoke with Keith K @ the FO and he said its looking like section 123. He said nothing is concrete but that is the direction they are leaning.

Uh, we should be able to claim the first 100+ tickets at an absolute minimum.

Yes to both.

Unfortunately, as much as most of us here know that the CB is a perfectly fine place to watch games, a lot of folk have decided not to join us on a regular basis - yet these are the same folk who will show up for USA-Mexico, 300 strong.

I expect The Inferno to average 100-150 next season. Being conservative (from our perspective - as in, maximizing out potential to protect against limitations based on small thinking), we probably want a section of 250-300 seats set aside for us, with 200-250 of that being aimed at seats for actual members and another 50 for the buffer. (This kind of depends on the number of seats in a row, etc.)

well i hope you're right and i hope that the Hole is the promised land we make it out to be. but i'm (justifiably) skeptical for now.

I don't blame you - but I'd rather plan on 250 and get 50 (as long as FC Dallas ends up with less than 16,000 a game - which I expect) than plan on 100 and get 250 and lose a lot of people - for the YEAR - because we weren't planning ahead.

I think we assume that what you saw for Mexico is probably the Big Game Maximum - and that we would average half that if we are at Full Tilt. (Of course, that means working on developing the base - fliers, working on The Inferno website, etc.)

Just some input here, no trolling/banter/ etc etc. Perhaps you guys could buy out that entire section prior to the start of the season at a discounted rate than have people by the tickets directly from you. Maybe the organization will like seeing this commitment from you guys and give you your own ticket booth prior to matches for folks to pick up their tickets? It's essentially what SE and Barra have worked out. Just a suggestion, glad you all are getting this stadium, once the entire league can play without annoying pointyball/baseball lines the league will benefit.
Til next season.

No standing allowed for Fulham supporters, according to this article:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/f/fulham/4327418.stm

I wonder if MLS will ever reach a stage where they ban standing here.
