I want to know who you think is the best striker in the CCC, and why. I've left it open as their is quite a lot of strikers in the division

Now please no favouritism towards your own team and just to destroy my point I'm going to say

David Connelly of Leicester City

Basically he can create anything from nothing, he never stops running, two games into the season he's already the fans favourite and he's amazing with both feets :p

Now continue.

Paul Furlong of QPR (obviously)!

Has played well so far and scored a beauty @ Sunderland

I always rated Bobby Zamora although he didn't get much of a chance at Spurs.

Dean Ashton at Crewe is the best young striker in the division.

Earnshaw at Cardiff could make it at a higher level, so as top choice I will give him the nod over Nathan Ellington at Wigan for now.

Dean Bowditch, Connelly, Sheringham, Earnshaw, Ellington

The championship has some good strikers

The best "striker" has to be Danny Cadamarteri of Leeds....

I was wondering why Leeds had signed him. He'll fit right in.

It certainly ain't Alan Smith, anyway! :D

I would agree with Colm's list.

Nathan Ellington is the best striker in the CCC at the moment - 11 goals in 17 games is great for him :D

nathan ellington is without doubt the best striker in the Championship. i am a Bristol Rovers fan and when we had him here a few years ago we could always tell he was destined for big things. he will play for england yet you mark my words, he is without doubt the best striker Bristol rovers have had in the past 7-8years and in that time we have had, Marcus Stewart, Jason Roberts, Barry Hayles, Bobby Zamora, Jamie Cureton, Gareth Taylor and The duke himself. in my opinion Ellington is the best out of the lot of them. The sooner he gets into the prem the better coz he will progress and within a couple of years he will of played for england

Earnshaw at Cardiff .

Earnshaw is making it at a higher level, well that is if you can call West Brom a higher level. He did score a brace this weekend.

I like Johnson from Forest.

Dave Kitson at Reading has been impressive this season, a lot of decent goals and good linkup play. Before this year I hadn't really noticed him other than the odd goal, but he looks the part now.

Darren Bent is getting more consistent as he matures, would say he has probably the most potential now of the current CCC strikers. Great pace and can goal poach.

I still rate Ashton and he has been knocking them in for Crewe this season, but I think he definitely needs to move on after this season to a bigger club, to prove if he can do it at a higher level.

I always thought Kitson would do well at level, he was an excellent player for Cambridge. I can't believe we only got 150,000 for him.

He's probably worth close to 2 million now http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif Heard vague rumours that he's getting a bit of interest from one or two Premiership teams, although Reading don't seem much of a selling club.

With Ellington and Roberts both with Wigan, it makes for good debate whether either would do as well were it not for the other. Together they have scored more than half Wigan's goals. The next best strike force is Bent/Kuqi, but Town has two six goal scorers in Miller and Westlake.
