Pires is expected back in about 2 weeks. If the league's most expensive bench warmer is anywhere near to his form from last year, watch out! So far LSG have achieved their goal of staying close through the first rounds - although 8 points from first day of this round - even from only 2 players - is a bit alarming.l

________________________
Which means Cape Tribulation, Chelsea in PA and Jones Cracked Wheat are out of both cups..... and can concentrate on the overal league.
Kopite Juniors, Trollpop Aviation and London St. Germain are still in both competions..... but only Kopite Juniors and Trollpop Aviation can meet in both finals.
Kill The Man U Scum and 1800-UK.com are not there to make the numbers up and will both be trying to get their name on one of the cups.... although 1800-UK.com have the bad fortune to meet Kopite Juniors yet again.
Kill The Man U Scum proved that Kopite Juniors can be beaten and Glenn Hoddle will be studying the video during the pause for international matches.

Nice work Michel.
I am riding a wave of good luck right now, which I am sure will crash to a halt soon.
The contest in the main CYKI BigSoccer League is hotting up too.

All our scouts have been informed to leave the Chelsea in PA team and report for duty in the Clanblue 11 camp immediately...if not sooner.
Two wins out of two and looking to secure at least a runners up spot to advance to the quaters.
Michel,
I thought Chelsea in PA overcame my lead in matchday two and closed me out of the League Cup, winning the first two weeks, both with comebacks.
I may have won week 3, but unless it is total aggregate points or some other factor, I thought I lost to paul, aka Clanblue.

This break is coming at a very good time for Jones Cracked Wheat. I need Hasselbaink, Robert, and Beckham to remove their heads from their collective bung holes and start putting some points on the board. They have to be the three biggest underperformers in the Premiership so far among healthy players.
Good thing it's a long season...

Lucky for you, and unlucky for Chelsea in PA, these are like the real cups..... where a win is not worth three points and a loser can still go though if they have the better F/A difference over the round of games.
Tiebreakers
a) Winners to be decided on points difference (F/A) over the round of games.
Tiebreaker b didn't make a lot of sense: "If point difference is equal, then points for."...... as if F/A was equal.... then points for would be equal.
c)
If still equal, highest team value as registered on the official stats for Round 1 -- Gameweek 3; Round 2 -- Gameweek 8; Finals -- Gameweek 12
Note:
c) will now become b) and we'll add another decider for c), in the event that we need it in the next round..... Least transfers.

I'm already paying a 4 point penalty for my extra transfers, putting the season championship at risk, but now you also penalize me for making transfers to compete in these internal cup competitions?
Ouch, Baby, double, double ouch.

13 transfers, one free, so it cost 48 points and droped me to dead last in the league.
However, i thought i was going nowhere with the lads i had.
Take ole Lampard for example...plays every week but gets me only 2 points for the effort.Times that by 10 and....well you see what i mean.
Ole Jimbo was another waste, besides i think he;ll be in spain in the new year anyway.
I could have done it piecemeal for free but with one change per week i would still be pulling in my 2/3 points per with the remaining players.
So i said to heck with it and took a big hit for (hopefully) immideate returns every week from all the players as opposed to one at a time.
It might work.It might not.[/fingers crossed]

Surely you had some players worth keeping?
Not all 13 were performing badly were they.
I agree doing one a week is too slow for drastic change, but maybe 3 or 4 one week, then another 4 the next. You must have had 3 or 4 worth keeping, the scrubs and reserves at least.
48 points is a hell of a lot to catch up.

Giving up on a proven goal scorer pretty quickly, aren't you? And my reading of the situation was that the Barca link was dead...

I did a massive about turn with my squad in the UEFA Champions League.... but the points binned were only 2 (a transfer) -- after the free transfer -- and there was more transfer activity.... so I made a swift 4Million profit, which will come in handy later.
As soon as transfer activity picks up in the Premier League, I might be tempted to make more transfers.... but for the moment I'm holding onto the points and hoping the sad players get motivated soon.

Sven-Goran Eriksson noted that Glenn Hoddle dropped Lee Bowyer from the 1800-UK.com team and decided to exclude the new Trollpop Aviation player from the England squad as well.
At a press conference this morning, Eriksson explained that his reason for deciding to leave Bowyer out of his squad was related to form and nothing else.
We're sure Lee Bowyer will play better in the future and, under Hal Trollpop's guidance, may soon be playing for his country again.
Glenn Hoddle has also surprised the 1800-UK.com supporters by giving up 8 points, to make a double transfer, as he tries to prise one of the cups out of Chloe Adams' greedy, greedy hands.

Chloe, greedy, well I never!!
She is only six you know.
She inspires her team by playing on Saturday mornings and scored two last Saturday. "A much better player than her Dad!" was the phrase of the day. :D
The transfer market is tempting with the double game, but Kopite Juniors is going to hold fast, watch for international injuries this weekend and then make last minute moves if necessary.

I'm just being realistic about it all.
He is in poor form at the moment and is displaying a rather disinterested attitude in the "team" end of the game.
I have seen him play in a cople of games and have talked to chatters on the official site who watch him play every game.
The Barca link just went underground, not away, and is now back in full swing and also is reported (in Spain anyways) to have Valencia after him as well.
Given the Financial situation that Bates still denies, yet everybody knows to be true, i see him off in the new year for 11 million quid.

Shoot, Clanblue, you are probably right.
So I'll end up holding him for a few crappy underperforming months, and then he'll get sold and light up La Liga. Sounds about right.

I love how my goalie Seaman can't seem to keep a Clean Sheet in the Premiership, but he's 3/3 in Champions League play.
