Pleased with my start, but it is amazing how greedy you can get.

I really needed someone not to play after Griffin (Newcastle) got bonus points and earned 9 points yesterday. And I had him on the bench! All my 11 starters played so he didn't get in.

And Henry misses a penalty too.

Like I said, greedy, greedy, greedy. :)

46 points now....when the subs for Matteo and Yorke get credited...and Gudjohnsen and Lampard to play tomorrow in the derby.

Gudjohnsen took a bad knock in the UEFA cup tie on thursday, so i have my doubts he'll start.
Hope i'm wrong.

But, i fancy lumpy to score though.

Boy, did my players ever not show up this weekend... Didn't help having Kewell come down with a late head cold, or Smith passing a PK to Friedel... Holding out now for an Inamoto double hat trick tonight - otherwise our only hope is for other teams to struggle for the next 4 matchdays or so so we can catch up. Had Jay not ranked LSG first in the preseason, I'm sure things would have gone better this weekend...

Well we didn't score, but, we didn't lose or concede one either.
Defensive bonus for Lampard takes Chelsea in PA to win over the aviators.

Dr. Jones and I are clearly so focused on the "sundance derby" that we forgot to motivate our teams for the FA Cup... A real cynical, defensive match as derbies always are.

Disappointed by early results, the managing board of London St. Germain has ended the club's relations with Jonathan Ingram. In his place the club have brought in the eccentric coach who led Vatican City to success in Korea/Japan, Jimballs Stoobeyboobey.

It is not allowing me in either, I wonder whether they are updating the database to account for changes in player values after the first real week of the contest.

I managed to get in early this morning and the only rise seemed to be Baros @ 0.1...... So Hal gets his nose in front.... ;)

I've already made a couple of million in the UEFA comp though.....

........ Have just gone over there and can log in ok....

Just had a look at the price falls.....

Eaden M BIR 4.4 -0.1
Jordao M WBA 4.9 -0.1
Dodd D SOT 5.4 -0.1

It's hard to fathom out how they're awarding the price rises and falls..... maybe it's on a percentage of transfers related to how many managers already hold the player.

The Uefa game seems to clock over at around 500 transfers but the premier league is not working on the same algorythms.

Hal, have you got an idea on how it's working?

4 players now have each risen 1 value point:
Henry, Ljunberg, Baros, and Gerrard.

Looks like it's going to be a SLOW moving market this year.

Ljungberg playes 70 mins out of 7 games yet his value has risen by a full point.....i don't get how they scored that one.

Because people are transferring him in....

He scored in the Champions League tonight as well.... Henry grabs a brace.....

Ah.....i see the light.

The smart ones took him when he was injured and cheap :)

It looks to me as if the Value increases when a player reaches +200 in net "Transfers In." The only four to have crossed that threshold so far are also the only four to have risen 1 Value point. If a few more people grab Inamoto, he seems to be close. None have reached the +400 plateau yet, and none have risen more than a single point.

If this is true, financial flucuations may be very miniscule this season, especialy since there are far fewer managers due to CYKI's horrendous mismanagement of the switch to the Official site.

Michel,

I joined that fantasy soccer per your suggestion. I seem unable to adjust my line-up. Can you explain how to do so? If not, I'm growing impatient trying to figure it out.

I don't know what's happened there :(

Team Boss used to have green and red arrows to click on for transferring players and they seem to have disappeared.

Very strange.

Logging into the Premier League site on matchdays is horrendous.

Not as horrendous as logging on only to see your team tanking yet another week...god what an awful two matchdays for Cracked Wheat to begin the season.
