Should Rooney stay with Everton and recieve an reserved starter spot? Will the challenge of being on possibly one of the struggling EPL teams too battle out the last positions be good or bad for him? If he stays he has his spot n he has the posibility of fighting relegation. Their 4-1 loss to arsenal was pretty bad. sloppy defending isnt one of the most appealing to a man deciding whether to stay. On the up side he will be getting paid so much will it matter to him?
If he goes, where to? Liverpool? Possibly since they seem to be the only team that havnet had time to fill a missing hole in thier strike force. Also because they r a high enough ranked team for him to gain skill he could not get at a lesser club. Although if seems he is likey to stay, what is the best option for his career?

Since I am new to european football can you explain a little on his situation? I watched euro2004 and saw his tremendous performance so I understand the interest in him. What I dont understand is his contract. Is he currently not under contract with Everton or are contracts not binding and he can leave when a better one comes around?

Rooney is staying for definite this season maybe not beacuse he wants to stay but his options for leaving are extremely limited.

No.1: Being of such a young age a move abroad would seem out of the question for Rooney. Yes he would have a line of suitors for him but would he leave England at such a young age? I think not. Only a year ago we saw the timid/shy side of a young Rooney as he mumbled his way through interviews would he be able to cope in a country where he'd be detached from his family and friends whilst struggling with a new language? I don't think a move abroad would attract Rooney at this stage of his career. True it can be said that Cristiano Ronaldo was in a similiar situation in his Manchester United move but there he was joining a club renowned for its fantastic youth policies and development, a factor many of these large European clubs neglect in preference for Internationally proven Superstars.

No.2: What club in Engalnd with sufficient finances want him? There are three instant suggestions for possible target clubs Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Arsenal have recently seen Jose Antonio Reyes come into the side along Thierry Henry and have young Dutch sensation Robin Van Persie waiting for his opportunity to shine and also the proven legend Denis Bergkamp who continues to perform to incerdibly high standards. So do they need him? No!
Chelsea have recently acquired 2 of Europes hottest properties up front Drogba and Kezman one of which will join the first choice Eidur Gudjohnsen in attack. Mikael Forssell and Carlton Cole look like excellent prospects for the future and Mourinho has expressed his wish for a 24 man squad which is what he has wittled Chelsea down to already. He has also stated his dis-intrest in Rooney.
Manchester United are possibly the most likely of buyers for Rooney but once again there are factors which may keep the deal from going through. Alan Smith has hit the ground running at United with a number of impressive perfromances already, United also await the return of goal machine Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Louis Saha. Buying Rooney would be a big-time impulse purcahse but he isn't a necessity and Alex Ferguson rarely buys unnecessarily. Ferguson always likes to give youth a chance and his persistance with players like Quinton Fortune and lastseasons struggling Wes Brown suggests that David Bellion may still get his opportunity in Uniteds attack and that we could see more from the low-confidence Forlan. Ferguson would never admit defeat on a signing until they were on there last legs. Forlan although struggling still shows glimpses of what he can offer, once Ferguson see's this he'll keep working with him. United will not buy Wayne Rooney!
