Just like in 2004, there's only two Asian national teams and the Korean League, IMO it really sucks, they should replace China with Japan and add Iran and Saudi Arabia. But nooo, they add even crummier teams like Hungary, Finland, Wales, Scotland, and Slovenia.

why add Saudi Arabia when they are not even a top 5 squad in Asia? I'm sorry, but i'm not gonna play as Germany and crush Saudi Arabia 8-0...

I believe Japan and China is in, disappointed that Korean NT is not there but atleast the K-League to look forward to. Can't wait to play as Incheon FC.

It doesn't make sense not to have Iran. I mean not having Saudi is one thing ( ;) ), but how are you going to leave out Iran and at the same time include Slovenia...

Same thing with Korea.

GameSpy said that possibly its the best soccer game out there. But I really don't trust them as they always say something like that. I hope its not like 2004(Budge easily)

There's simply no point in playing FIFA when there's something called Winning Eleven.

Why would EA not include Korea when the Korean market is third largest in the world behind USA and Europe?

Because KFA ( Korean Football Association ) demanded a license fee 6 times more than the last time + a 5% royalty for each copy! KFA were too greedy this time around and EA had to cancel the negotiation. :D

Btw, Konami also pays a license fee to the KFA for their game series, Winning Eleven. KFA is the only organisation that's getting paid from Konami, with the exception of JFA.

In-Depth FIFA 2005 Interview
TVG interview several producers of FIFA 2005, who answer each question great detail. In this interview EA are not shy to talk about what it takes to make a successful soccer game, even talking about it's main rival, Pro Evolution Soccer 4.

"It's very evident when picking up the latest offering of FIFA to see that there have been many improvements in areas that once were dominated by Pro Evo."
