if you live in the US, www.koreaflix.com is purty good. they got free shipping, cheaper than the other online places i compared with, and if it matters to you (b/c i'm an avid dvd collector) original manufactured dvds.
i like yesasia for their other asian dvds but i noticed that that they remanufacture the dvds with their logos, packages, etc...

The Scarlett Letter
Opens on the 29th of this month, which sucks for me as that's the day I'll be flying back to the states from Korea. This is one of my most anticipated movies of the year along with Yeokdosan.

I would not recommend it. Even if you're looking for a good popcorn action flick, it's a pretty shoddily made movie. I went into the movie either expecting a really exciting action flick or a dramatic re-telling of the true incident, but got neither. It had so much potential to be a great film, but the director just screwed everything up.
Some of the movies I'd recommend are:
- Oldboy
- Taegukgi
- Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance
- Superstar Mr. Gam
- Save the Green Planet!
- Memories of Murder
- Christmas in August
- Fighter in the Wind
- Public Enemy
- Oasis
- A Good Lawyer's Wife
- Singles
- A Tale of Two Sisters
- Foul King
- A Wolf's Seduction

thanks guys, I guess Ill avoid it...too bad really...Ahn Sung Ki is one of my favorite actors.
Taegukgi was alright I guess, but cant believe you guys didnt include 'Chingu' on your lists. i really appreciated the cinematic artsyness of this picture...even more than the plot which i thought was pretty badass.
Didnt care for 'Shirri' though.
'Old Boy' is next.

A Wolf's Seduction? A Wolf's Seduction? Are you serious? egads. I guess 귀여니 has come a long away -_-
I recently watched "Someone Special ( 아는 여자 )" and I thought it was quite a nice little movie.

Foul King is really a funny movie. Funny how a normal person becomes a wrestler....
i forgot the name of it, but that romance movie was good. The one where romance takes place in 1968 (the main character's mom's first love story) and how similiar the main character's love story is.

Odd list, but I'd agree with most everything on it.
I'm partial to Memento Mori. I love that creepy stuff.

"Sex is Zero" is the funniest movie I've ever seen, it's like the "American Pie" of Korea...and the main chick in the movie is hot, I dunno who she is tho. Does anybody know who she is?
