So, I got my one guess right in the USA forum... decided I'd try to initiate a similar thread here.

Tell me what game the following Brazil team played and what the score was:

Marcos; Edmilson, Roque Jr, Lucio; Cafu, Gilberto Silva, Ronaldinho Gaucho (Kleberson), Juninho Paulista (Denilson), Roberto Carlos; Rivaldo (Ricardinho), Ronaldo

(I'm starting with a piece of cake just to get this thread kicked off).

China. I remember like yesterday the scoreline announcers joked: "Ro-Ro-Ri-Ro" as Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and Ronaldo all scored. And I remember I thought... as did Moacir - how hilarious it would have been if Ricardinho tallied as well. :D

Pay attention to the subs, that makes the difference.

Also the D was different vs. China.

I went with Costa Rica because of all the subs, I figured it was because since it was such an easy and unecessary game, we could've afforded to experiment without risking. Try us again, please.

Against Costa Rica Brazil started with Edilson and Junior though sice they had to protect RC and Ronaldinho from yellow card trouble and had plenty of room.

Here's a line-up, sometime in '97(Brazil's greatest year of the decade!!) there were no subs.

Dammit I think it was Confederations Cup of 1997 - I know it had to be before 1998 as that was the last time Romario/Ronaldo were really playing together. Actually I am sure of it - it was Confederations Cup of 1997. But the exact match... I am not sure.

Got to be the Gold Cup. Can't possibly imagine who it's against. I don't know who else they played besides the USA...is it Brasil vs USA in the Gold Cup???

You were right!! It was the Confederations Cup of '97. And it was the final vs Australia when Brazil won 6-0!! Ronaldo and Romario had hat-tricks!! I guess it's your turn to make us guess a line-up.
