I'm trying to change a flat tire on my late-80's POS. However the lugnuts are rusted to the wheel and won't budge. So far I've tried WD-40 and elbow grease, but the bastards won't budge. Any tips?

put the tire-iron on one of the lug-nuts and then place a copper pipe on the tire-iron, stand on the pipe and bounce

Good way to break the lug posts. I suggest getting a little propane toarch and heating up the lug nuts, unless you have aluminum rims.

Eh, the WD-40 I've used is more valuable than the car itself. However I cannot drive the slippery stuff. So no worries on the rims or anything like that.

Jumping on the tire iron would certainly be a bit much, but a swift whack with a rubber mallet might just do the job, and probably won't break the lugs either. And by swift whack with a rubber mallet, I mean at the furthest end of the tire iron (or the pipe extension) from the lug as to generate the greatest torque. A force impulse might do the job.
