This sucks. Terrance Kelly, who was one of four De La Salle '04 grads that signed to play for U of Oregon this season, was shot and killed last night in Richmond, CA. 48 hours before he was going to show up at UO.

Kelly played LB and RB last season, and also was a star TE as an underclassman. He's mentioned several times in the great book about DLS entitled "When the Game Stands Tall" (more on that in a different thread some day...).

De La Salle is the school that is currently on the longest unbeaten streak in any high school level (or higher) sport, ever, not having lost since the playoffs in '91.

Damn. May he rest in peace.

I live less than a mile from DLS, and Kelly was amazing to watch. He was going to be huge. This sucks.

"They'll be caught, of course, career losers, going nowhere and dragging the rest of the world down with them. They may even say they are sorry and wish they hadn't done it.

Who cares?

Revenge feels hollow and empty now. Too much was lost. For nothing."
