16 teams that aren't in Athens. Is it just me, or would this be a far more appealing (at least on international pedigree) tournament than the actual one?
Group A:
Brazil
Ireland
Czech Republic
Denmark
Group B:
Germany
USA
Nigeria
Sweden
Group C:
France
Turkey
Cameroon
China/Iran
Group D:
Holland
Spain
South Africa
England

Remove England, we're ineligible for the Olympics.

OK, but if it was a true U-23 World Cup rather than simply the Olympic tournament you could put them there. Supposedly you guys will be fielding a combined Great Britain side if London gets the games in 2012, tho.
Anyway, replace England with, let's say, Uruguay...still a far more impressive field than the teams actually in the Games (Greece, South Korea, Mexico, Mali, Paraguay, Ghana, Italy, Japan, Argentina, Australia, Tunisia, Serbia, Iraq, Costa Rica, Morocco, Portugal). Italy and Argentina are the only real world powers in the tournament.
