Not sure what that's about...

But no hiding the stats. A-League Seattle doesn't draw well.

Here's the All-Time picture of Seattle pro soccer attendance:

Shouldn't you be posting that in the Dallas forum?

Apparently the group from Seattle is waiting now to hear how MLS would like them to proceed. They are looking for a confirmation of how close Seattle really is in the eyes of the league.

Seattle ownership would like to use the 2005 A-League team season as a "pledge drive" and promotion for a 2006 MLS club.

A fan who spoke with Adrian Hanauer, the man leading the Seattle interest, says he's not been given clear signals from the league about how his group should proceed after being left out for 2005.

The "Sounders," unlike SLC and Checketts, would like to begin a marketing/season ticket campaign BEFORE plunking down the $1 Mil. deposit. They are waiting for clarification on that, among other things, from MLS.

In the meantime, Seattle soccer fans have begun in earnest to support Hanauer's dream of MLS in the Emerald City.

http://www.GoalSeattle.com came online this week. It includes a petition where fans can pledge to buy season tickets. It will be interesting to see how this does/doesn't fuse in with the current Sounders' club MLS goals.

I received a email from the Sounders asking to "talk about" the new site. They don't want to be seen in the eyes of MLS leadership to look like they have anything "sewn up" yet. I responded with the conclusion that Seattle fans are just beginning to join in to a process the club and Hanauer started a while ago. Better late the never. Here's to 2006/7.

Another Seattle fan did some investigative work into the Hanauers. Turns out they are more than wealthy enough as a family to make a long-term run at MLS:
