1" Action kicks off as Municipality outfit and last years runners up, Monaco take on Slovenian champs NK Gorica in the cosy alpine nation.

2" Yellow card! - Evra for a dangerous tackle on Pus

4" Sloevians have the most possesion with Komac looking a threat in midfield.

6" Yellow card! - Bernardi recieves a booking for encroaching the wall. Krisic gets two shots at goal from 30 yards.

7" Beautiful opening by Bernardi for Kallon which leaves him one on one. Ref blows for offside.

8" GOAL!!!!!! Ball is drifted in, Evra heads the ball over to Kallon, who controls the ball and smashes it into the net! - 1-0....

10" Shot by Krisicon the left hand side. Corner conceded by Modesto.

13" Chevanton and Kallon look deadly and threaten the centre backs with neat interchanges and constant pressing.

15" Maicon arrives into action with recent plays building down the right hand side.

17" Shot by Zivec, Ball whizzes past Roma's left hand post.

18" Ball swung in the box by Evra to Chevanton. He takes an extra touch which is costly as the keeper Pirih can collect the ball.

20" Ranic tries a near post cross near the edge of the goal-line. Modesto takes no risks and puts out for a corner.

21" Kallon drives down the left, waiting for his strike partner Chevanton, he crosses into the box. Chevanton connects with a powerul shot, but the ball lands to the hands of Pirih

23" Kallon breaks free from his marker and Chevanton's centre onto the far post, is met by a his header which travels over the bar.

25" Monaco look far asured after the first 10 minutes. Kallon's goal has settled some nerves.

27" Zivec tries long balls into the box, but the defensive partnership of Squillaci and Givet are too strong for the Gorica front-men.

28" Zivec benefits form Modesto's error and fires the ball from 20 yards, but it goes over Roma's goal.

30" Yellow Card! - Pus recieves a booking for holding onto Modesto's shirt.

32" Bernardi attempts a one two with Adebayor. the Slovenians clear for a corner.

35" The play is becoming predominatly Monaco having more clear possesion of the ball.

37" Adebayor plays a delightful ball through for Chevanton, but the referee calls offside

38" Pus runs down the right, evading the Monaco challenges. Having a clear site of goal and looking to shoot, Givet races back just in time but can't prevent a corner.

39" Evra attacks on the left, he has a great oppourtunity, but is stopped by the on rushing goalkeeper, who clears the ball with his feet

41" Monaco try to play calm by keeping hold of the posession.

43" Ranic finds Rodic free on the right. The angle opens up for him, but his shot goes once more for a corner.

44" 2 minutes added time

45+1" Long ball by Zivec for Rodic, but Roma cooly collects the ball.

46" No changes by both managers for the second half.

47" Long ball by Komic for Rodic on the left wing. Can't keep the ball under control. They try again towards the centre of defence.

49" Evra plays the ball Abedayor, he can only defelct the ball towards Kallon. He is pushed by Mavric and the ball is cleared by Kokot.

51" Komac on the right plays the ball to Krisic who hits a short range effort. Roma pushes it away.

53" Red Card! - Evra recieves his second yellow of the night and is sent off, for tackling Pus.

55" The home-side respond positively to Evra's dismissal. Komac rifles in a shot, but Roma is well behind it.

56" Subsitution - (OFF) Abedayor (ON) Perez

58" The game has now changed. The slovenians put pressure on Roms's goal Pus and Komac combine but the Monaco defnece stands firm. Moanco look to defend in numbers and them on the break.

60" Squillaci marks off Rodic as Ranic tries to play the ball through to him

62" Chevanton takes the ball on his left and plays it towards Perez. The Uruguayan takes a shot but the ball flies well over the cross bar.

64" Subsitution - (OFF) Zivec (ON) Sabec

65" With his first touch, Sabec plays the ball through to Krisic, but Roma however reads the danger.

67" Maicon loses the ball to Sturm, who strikes the ball at goal. Roma saves brillantly.

70" Good work from Perez on the right flank, centres the ball for Kallon on the far post. The ball instead lands for the head of Chevanton, but it goes over.

72" Chevanton finds a gap near the far post and passes to Squillaci. However the ball is too short for him.

73" Chevanton fires the ball in the box, the ball finds Maicon on the right hand post, but he can't find the net.

76" GOAL!!!!!! - A fantastic through ball by Perez sends Chevanton clear on goal. He hits the right hand post, but the ball rebounds back to him and he makes no mistake firing it past Pirih, who makes a decent effort to save it. 2-0.....

78" Subsitution - (ON) Farnerud (OFF) Bernardi

80" Subsitution - (OFF) Sturm (ON) Burgic

82" Gorica know the game is up and start to build from the midifeld, but can rarely find the attack.

84" Yellow card! - Perez for hacking down Sabec on the right.

86" Chevanton nabs the ball from Kokot and tries to lob using the outside of the foot. The ball dips over the right hand side.

88" GOAL!!!!!!! - Long ball by Squillaci leaves Kallon in space. He rounds Pirih and slots home his second of the match. 3-0.....

90" Subsitution - (OFF) Chevanton (ON) Camara

90" - 3 minutes of added on time.

91" Komac on the right crosses for Burgic, but his header is saved by Roma.

93" Its all over, Monaco look all set for the champions league group stages after a resounding win in Slovenia. Despite Evra's red card early on in the half, they cruised to a 3-0 win. Two goals from Mohammed Kallon and Javier Chevanton have set them on their way....

This Chevanton is an animal ! The big Italian teams will be sorry they didnt pick him up. The attack will only get stronger with either Mutu, Saviola, or Anelka. They will miss Morientes's leadership though. Looks like injury plagued Nonda is gonna be shown the door. Lyon should snap him up.

Chevanton looked very impressive....

Also the Uruaguyan, Perez looked a good player when he came on...
