Only TWO home teams won this week! The home fans aint like it!!!!

As one of the home teams who lost, we're pleased to have kept the difference down to a minimum at least.

It could have been worse.

Desperately seeking positives after an incredibly bad week, I must point out our little hero, Steve Shackell... 0 minutes so far this season, gathering cobwebs on the bench... and there he is starting for Norwich last night! One of those many, many 15 points was his...

A 'drafted league' also means that no two teams may have the same player.

As the available pool is not always swimming with quality, it take a shrewd manager to make the right moves (in time) for the next Gameweek(s).

We want to encourage activity in the drafted league and playing the transfer game for the knockout rounds is about as active as it gets.

Transfers are already 'penalised' by the PremierLeague.com and the penalties are reflected in the overall standings.... for those who care about them.

That's the main reason we do drafted leagues, to run our own leagues, cups and scoring systems.

Oh..... and make up our own rules.

:D

meh... i concentrate on the league and always have... other titles are nice... but its good judgment, prudence and foresight that wins you the league... there is a fair amount of luck in the cup competitions because you could have an off week and lose, despite being the better team overall.

I refuse to accept that the other team is ever the "better team". :)

I also prefer to concentrate on the league. But in seasons when the league is already lost, it is great to have these cup competitions to keep relegation candidates like me in their job. Without them it would be hard to remain motivated when your team is hundreds of points off the league lead. Up the cup!

Results for the first round of the Knockout Phase:

FC Springfield 70 - 36 DC Chickenhawks dif = 34

They must have updated the scores after this. I had 43 for Gameweek 28.

So FC Springfield really leads 70-43, giving them a 27 point cushion. Nothing a Shearer hat trick won't solve.

Premier League has a habit of doing that.... so I update late.

We've got Ajax Reserves in the Cup and Aviators in the ladder.

The fixture gods have not been kind to us.

Upper Hand? Hah! You have a 16 point lead with 2 players to play.

Judy has 2 players plus maybe a sub PLUS 10 more games from the players for the double games this week. If Ajax Reserves can't overcome The Class Acts' measly 16 point lead, I'll be SHOCKED!

60 points is a lot but I have 5 players, including my captain, who have double games this week, plus Mokoena and Pistone still to score today and Jaaskelainen to score on Monday. If I average 7 points from each of those 8 we're just about tied. Of course that won't happen but I'll close the gap a lot before the gameweek's over.

Aviators are up to 66 points this week with Nelsen to score and a possible sub for Gallas PLUS this week's double games. It's looking bleak for 1800 WorldCup although they also have lots of players to play a second game as well.

Ajax Reserves is up to 35 points with the double games still to go, so it's game on with 1800 WorldCup in that pairing.

It all depends on how those players play though. If they dont perform I wont be panicing too much and today after the two matches the score is 91 - 34. Still a lead of 57. :)

Last week's (double game) results..... and the advantages going into the last game... on neutral ground.

Gameweek 29:
Ajax Reserves vs 1800-France.com (79-74) dif=5
(Ajax Reserves have a slender lead of only six points)

DC Chickenhawks vs FC Springfield (53-55) dif=2
(FC Springfield lead by 29 points)

KC Dynamo vs Aviators (69-104) dif=35
(Aviators lead by a massive 59 points)

Kopite Juniors vs Windsor Wanderers (54-87) dif=33
(Windsor Wanderers have turned around the Kopite Juniors lead from the first match and now have 12 points advantage)

Nocturnal United vs sporting-FC colombia (56-39) dif=17
(Nocturnal United have increased their lead to 44 points)

RamRod FC vs AS St-Lambert (34-79) dif=45
(AS St-Lambert were losing to the inactive RamRod FC but now lead by 32 points)

The Class Acts vs London St. Germain 3 (46-67) dif=21
(The Class Acts hold on to a tender 9 points lead)

WinningConnection vs TVDPhenomenons (72-66) dif=6

A couple of the ties are far from over..... a couple of managers can start thinking about next season.... should they even bother turning up?

Anyone want to go through and do the provisional scores?

I've got a sneaky feeling 1800-France.com will meet with Kopite Juniors.

The Class Acts could be entertaining FC Springfield

Aviators (walkover) maybe get a slightly stiffer test against Nocturnal United

AS St-Lambert to face WinningConnection
