Football is indeed a game of two halves..... just ask Arsene Wenger or the mighty manager of Aviators, who made The Class Acts look very second class this afternoon.

WinningConnection also made a recovery in the second-half, for the second game in a row..... much to the displeasure of KC Dynamo's manager.

Nocturnal United, however, seemed to drop off to sleep late in the second-half -- for the second week running -- as TVD made yet another phenomenal recovery.

Gameweek 2 -- Full-time Results.

1. Aviators vs The Class Acts (47-34)
2. London St. Germain 3 vs Ajax Rick James FC (39-45)
3. Kopite Juniors vs sporting-FC colombia (51-34)
4. Nocturnal United vs TVDPhenomenons (38-42)
5. DC Chickenhawks vs Windsor Wanderers (24-52)
6. WinningConnection vs KC Dynamo (61-57)
7. 1800-France.com vs FC Springfield (53-34)
8. RamRod FC vs AS St-Lambert (34-52)

He has a thirteen point advantage this week..... less your +1 advantage last week = +12 advantage to Aviators.

What if he wins? Is the same thing going to be used in the group stages? At least I can still pull back that deficit , unlike some other teams ;)

I don't understand your question. The first 5 weeks are head-to-head bewteen us to pick a winner for seeding into the later competitions.

It's not W-L for this 5 game aggregate, but rather total points scored each gameday. NOTE, this is not impacted by those points managers give up to make more than one transfer per week. Those point losses only affect the position in the League Table.

Wk 1, you beat me by 1 point.
Wk 2, I beat you by 13 points. Hence, after two of the 5 matches, I carry a +12 lead.

You could win the next three matches by 1 point each match and still lose on aggregate.

Again, this competition is an intra league competition matching up comparable draft positions to establish some minor bragging rights, but more importantly, to establish the better seeding in later competitions.

Not opposing the idea to have the challenge be cumilative however wouldn't it be wiser to have just totalled the scores in the post... I mean it makes it easier for teams like me who get 2 wins and then get crushed only to surrender a big deficit... of course its all immaterial in the end because we will overcome... we will overcome... we will overcome.. lol

Sadly, the transfers don't come off your match scores...... or Aviators would never win a game. :p

Sadly, the transfers don't come off your match scores...... or Aviators would never win a game. :p

Sadly? I'm just giving you a chance.

Aviators has made 15 trades in excess of the one free one allowed each week. That has cost me 60 points. 60 + my score of 180 = 240.

1800-France.com has made 2 trades in excess of the one free one allowed each week. That has cost Michel 8 points. 8 + 204 = 212.

Michel's team valuation of 101.3 bests my team's current valuation of 101.1 by .2.

I'm just trying to do an early season balancing act - maintain/increase team valuation, improve the roster surrounding Henry, minimize points lost due to extra transfers but subordinate that goal to the other two early in the season.

If my strategy works, then I'll be tough in the head-to-head competitions and can make a late charge to climb the Small Rocks table. I just can't wait as long this season as I did last year where I was only able to climb to 3rd, if I remember correctly.

Mark has made a terrific start with Chloe's Kopite Juniors, he'll be tough to catch.

Exactly! :D

Of course if you have Thierry Henry, you can do anything you want and still stay competitive :D

In Hal's defense too, there is something called an "underachiever". I drafted a good lot of them and payed the price as well :o

Thanks for this line, I'll be using it in my defense for the rest of the season since my team was a proxy drafted team. So our not winning league/cup won't be my fault.
