This is edge of your seat stuff
Exactly, made the whole season of this drafted league come to a great climax.
Both of you have made very astute moves and it's been fascinating to watch this develop ... good luck to both of you on Sunday.
My heart says Springfield, my head says Aviators. Hal has one more card up his sleeve somewhere, I can feel it!

This is how you repay my continued faith in Liverpool players all season!!!!! Blasphemy! FC Springfield is now super motivated to prove the critics wrong. I'll post my final moves tomorrow that will bring victory! :D
Speaking of astute moves, congrats to subbeto for picking Pires as his captain last week... looks like he will win the VSR as a result!

Does that make you the Arsene Wenger, or the Jose Mourinho, of the VSR? :D

I said I was rooting for you in my heart, but that Hal is a wiley devil. Look out for his mind games in the tunnel before the match and the spiked tea and oranges at half time.
Hey I had Pires in the Small Rocks league as my captain, where's the love? ;)

Kopite Juniors GM Chloe Adams announced that Thierry Henry has joined the club. In a shock move Chloe said "Henry has decided to commit himself throughout this season and .... next!!!"
Henry was being hidden in an undisclosed location so that he would not be found by any drafting manager next August. ;)

There will be no tampering with the ankle location bracelet that Aviators attached to Henry when we released him due to the injuries. Henry shall return to the Aviators next season, at least as long as we are lucky enough to get the first draft pick.
Aviators final moves:
OUT:
Cech GK Chelsea
Carragher Def Liverpool
IN:
Cudicini GK Chelsea
Clement Def West Brom
Game on. Good luck Andre.
It's been a great finals. May the best team win.
Kudos to Michael for setting up the Rock Hard Championships
Final Heads-Up Rosters for the Championship with the Aviators 6 points down to FC Springfield:
* Means player is starting today.
## Means player is on the bench today
&&& Means player is neither starting nor on the bench
Besides being 6 behind at the start, Aviators crack research squad, looking for best player available, overlooked the real life manager's perrogative to NOT EVEN START A PLAYER OR EVEN HAVE A PLAYER ON TODAY'S BENCH
Aviators started Reyes and Gallas who are not even on today's roster. Aviators also started Downing who begins today's game on Middlesbrough's bench. It's clear that Aviators hopes Downing gets in early and amazes along with Baros who starts on the bench.
FC Springfield has ALL of their players starting today's matches with the exception of Sub 1 Gallas. Thus, we can eliminate FC Springfield's bench from consideration as they won't be needed.
The only starting common player for both teams, even though we are in different draft leagues, is Francis. Both also had the useless Gallas.
Aviators' players that will determine the outcome of the finals:
F## Baros** Liverpool** Sub 1
F* Ashton Norwich
M## Downing Middlesbrough**

Going into halftime, the first half has been quite a dud for the Rock Hard Championship Cup. No goals or assists have been registered by any of the 21 players in question (we both have Francis).
As Hal pointed out, FC Springfield lead 11-8 thanks to a full squad (Distin, supposed to be a key transfer, picked up a yellow after conceding a goal). However, one goal by each respective captain (Gera for the Aviators, Camara for FC Springfield) could make the difference at the rate we're going... Anyways, FC Springfield provisionally leads by a meager 9 points... just like the relegation battle, anything can happen in the second half.
Looking at the possibility of clean sheets, Springfield could still pick up six points from Senderos and from Edman. For the Aviators, only Toure can pick up a clean sheet.
More to follow...
In the real world, Norwich, the only relegation contender that had its fate in its own hands is losing to Fulham 3-0.
All the other matches involving the relegation contenders are tied up. With 30 minutes to go, any of the 4 could still stay in the premiership for next season.

I must have the magic. No sooner than I post this update, last place West Brom scores a goal to lead their game and Manchester United takes the lead over Southhampton.
Can West Brom go from 20th to 17th on the last half hour of the season? The real life drama is even more exciting than our fantasy championship.
Back to the important stuff.
Diouf gives Aviators their first glimmer of hope today, getting an assist in the 3-2 match against Everton, and this with only 10 men after N'Gotty was sent off. Hal's hoping for some liberal bonus points being awarded. LOL

With 20 minutes to go, Johnson has just scored for Crystal Palace. Can he lift CP into another year in the premiership?
Even if West Brom wins, they need CP to lose or tie in order for the Baggies to advance.
Advantage -- Crystal Palace

Riveting stuff... the only team that seems to be out of it is Norwich... too bad. I'm rooting for Palace.
Back to the Rock Hard Championship Challenge Cup.
Aviators has another glimmer of hope in that both Downing and Baros are on the field with a chance to earn some points.

Springfield is hoping Arsenal and Tottenham keep clean sheets... of course having said this, they will probably promptly concede...
Still no goals from any of the Aviators or Springfieldians... and only one Diouf assist. On another note, Distin and Tiago have picked up yellows for Springfield

Kieran Richardson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FC Springfield finally on the board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shrewd transfer move has Coach Wiggum smiling :)
Big lift for FC Springfield and huge trouble for Aviators as FC Springfield's Richardson scores for West Brom.
