Now realize that Francis got the 4 points so it is 40-54. Still in reach IMO.........

Robert Green with a clean sheet against Man U :D

Mistakenly had Terry as captain instead of Pires (9 points) -- but should be enough to get me through.

There is a God!! West Brom score literally the last second to give me a chance in this tie. FC have Edman left. I have Shearer, Ziegler & Ex FC Springfield player Lee Osman.

Too bad... but not enough. You should have subbed some more players... you're whole defense was inactive and it probably cost you the tie.

Yep but I wanted to hol on to Carvalho and Mellberg and I lose by 19 Points. Only the other two strikers I had any my captain had performed. Congrats and Good luck FC. And for the second time in my debut season in Fantasy football my team fall in the quarters of a competition. (This is after missing the CL quarts by a single point) :(. No trophies for me this season.

Kopite Juniors win both legs and on aggregate by the score 101 - 75.

The semi-final pairings are:

Kopite Juniors vs FC Springfield

Aviators vs Winning Connection

The semi-final match is a one week, Week 33, next week match. Here are the tiebreakers, if needed:

1. Less auto subs used; if still tied, then
2. Highest scoring GK; if still tied, then
3. Highest scoring Def; if still tied, then
4. Highest scoring Mid; if still tied, then
5. Highest scoring Striker; if still tied, then
see the website for further tiebreakers.

The finals are a 5 match series from weeks 34-38 for the two winning semifinalists.

The Play offs, which I think must be to decide third place take place on Weeks 35-37 between the two losing semifinalists.

Indeed... I hope I will triumph on the back of the Kop's current favorite son... that would be nice irony ;)

Yeh I thought about that, but with Hal around you cannot wait too long to pick up players.

This bunch are all fit with no midweek internationals or European commitments. None are likely to light up the scoreboard, but my chances of finishing first in league play are diminishing -- non-existent actually -- second place will have to do.

So it's time to win the cup and get some more gold medals in the process. :D

I also like the domino effect of making a number of transfers. We may see a number of other moves now.

The move was to get Diouf and a future serviceable Blackburn defender. I've yet to make my moves for the fixtures where the top teams have no games.

This impacts Winning Connection's Chelsea players and my Arsenal players about the same. Neither of us can field a full squad without major action. But who want's to dump their top players?

We really should postpone the Semifinals or make them over two legs, but alas, I didn't make the rules for this competition.

Makes sense. He is a good pick up and Blackburn have been tight at the back recently. Just wanting to help you out to ensure we meet in the final. I need revenge for MLS Cup :D

I agree... my top four players are inactive this week, and I'll have to drop one of them in order to field a full squad... probably Ljungberg since he's injured. However, I guess this will be a great test of our managerial skills.

May I suggest a different way to calculate the semifinal competition.

Let's let each manager use his highest weekly score so far this season!!!!

Let me promptly motion that we not entertain this method of calculation :)

Aviators are the huge underdog this semifinals.

I trail both Winning Connections and Kopite Juniors in the Small Rocks table standings.
and I think I trail FC Springfield in a combined table.
