Does anybody know why this is? Is it because of television rights...stuff like that? It's a shame that US Fox Sports World viewers have to wait for the tape delay match at 2PM on Sundays for the 9am early kick matches. Canada viewers are lucky. I hope this situtation changes really quickly. Does anybody here know if there is a plan to show 9amest. kickoff matches live on Sunday too by the people at Fox Sports World?

i believe the Everton match is being aired at 11 AM eastern. Thats 10 AM my time which is fine because I can sleep until kickoff and watch the match and not be tempted to check the web. They do show live matches on sundays and saturdays, at least they did last year. I thought there was almost always one live Prem match on both sunday and saturday and then there was a delayed one.

10 am Sat and 11 am Sun are PPV matches. FSW sometimes show earlier kickoff matches as long as they don't interfere with those time slots.

Your wrong. The Arsenal Everton match is on 2.00pm est. tape delayed Sunday. Fox Sports World Canada viewers get the match live at 9am est. US viewers have to wait 5 hours until we can watch the match. The Chelsea ManU match is live, however, on inDemand PPV at 11amest. I'll be watching that match, since I've hacked Dishnetwork lol, free. Hopefully they don't blurt out the Arsenal score. I'll put in mute instead.

Your wrong.

I disagree, SOMETIMES they do show the earlier matches live. In this case they aren't, but SOMETIMES they do as I have watched them.

The only early match FSW aired live last year was the 7:30 am match on Saturday. FSW aired the Bundesliga live Sundays at 11am, so it would have been impossible for them to have shown an EPL match. This year, a 12pm ET match will be live on FSW.

The reason you won't see a live match at 10am on Saturday or 9am on Sunday is that it will interfere with PPV buys.

FSW did show an early Sunday game once, Manchester United v Liverpool. It was either last season or the one before, I don't recall.

How does a 9:00 Eastern Sunday match conflict with PPV buys, but a 7:30 match on Saturday not?

I agree, I do wish they would show the 9:00 Sunday match live.

according to the FSW schedule shown here the Everton v. Arsenal game is on at 11 AM est on 08/15

you need Adobe to read the schedule. They need to bring back that little one that used to be on the front page from last year that you could just click on soccer and see all the soccer times for the whole week.

Your right, it's a 2 hour tape delay instead. But the ManU and Chelsea match is live at 11 am est on PPV. It just doesn't make sense.

d'oh, that is the dumbest thing ever. I figured they would be the same times on either side because i saw eastern in the top left.

phishy i have a setup similar to jpatel and it doesn't involve cards. it's what is called an FTA receiver that intercepts the signal and descrambles it. no need for any dish network equipment (besides the dish) at all, and it can't be "hit" because all it is doing is receiving a raw signal. as soon as dish network and expressvu (yes i will be watching the canadian FSW sunday morning live) plug the hole that is being exploited all we will get are regular arabic and asian channels, but that won;t happen until september 2005 for dish network, and even later for expressvu. nobody PM me asking anything about this because i won't help. there are sites that discuss this at length. google for them.

What I really wish would happen is DirecTV would add Sky channels. I mean they are owned by the same people, should be nothing for them to add it. A ton of people would pay to have the Sky branced channels.

I just moved here to bloomington (SF moved me in from denver). SInce you're not here now I'm the only gooner in town :( I haven't even found any fire fans here, much less arsenal fans. people think the sticker on my car means i am a fan of the fire department :)

ah yes, State Farm. my insight cable package last year had FSW and indemand so i could watch Arsenal. Soccer isn't too big in B-town. There are no bars in the area that show games so I would just wake up early and watch them. I'm working for a company that handles car stereo claims right now. we do claims for SF. i'm trying to get out of here and get an underwriting job. I just started like 5 weeks ago

Wait a minute...are people actually whining about having to wait a few hours to watch Arsenal-Everton on the same day? Sheesh...the very fact that just about every freaking Arsenal game is gonna be available on FSW should be good enough. (Not to mention the guy who's hacking Dish to get free channels - you must be pretty proud of yourself.)

And, by the way, FSWC(anada) shows the Sunday games live, but they didn't show the Community Shield. So there's no perfect solution.

For the record, and as of right now, Tuesday afternoon August 10th, the game is scheduled to be the tape delay Sunday afternoon game in the US on FSW. However, as of a few days ago, it *was* gonna be shown live on FSW. So that's where the confusion comes in, I'm sure.

Oh, and one more thing not yet Arsenal related, although I hope it will be. Sunday's PPV game, Chelsea vs. ManUre, will show up 3 days later on FSW - that's not news. But then, the following day, Thursday, the Sky Sports FanZone version will show up on FSW - now *that's* news. Props to FSW for doing whatever it was they had to do to bring that to us - only hope these guys are as entertaining as the Fulham guy was.
