Ferguson's Injury Worries
Sir Alex Ferguson scored a decisive victory in the club versus country row over Paul Scholes' fitness - but the final intervention of a surgeon's knife will leave Manchester United without their key midfielder for six weeks.

You couldn't make this up!
From the BBC Live Text Commentary:
75th Minute: Man Utd substitution: Juan Veron replaced by Diego Forlan (tactical).
Pretty much sums up the game so far really....
...Except for: Kevin Nolan just scored
Bolton 1 - 0 Man Utd
Now in the 80th minute,,,,

Wow. Could the Premiership for United have gotten off to a bigger thud? The offense has been nonexistent.
One question....why Forlan for Veron?

lets see. How many games has he played and has yet to produce anything worth while? No goals, no assist that I am aware of and yet we still put him in. When he does shoot it is way wide or directly into the chest of the keeper. I don't mind hitting the keeper, but if you are going to do that you have to put some heat on the ball and cause it to bounce off the keeper's chest for a fallow up tap into the net. Hell even little Chadwick who has played less has produced more. Put chadwick up front and relegate Forlan to the reserves until he learns how to score.
Ruud, what the hell is your problem? You are show, your touches are daft at best and sorely lacking the briliance of last season, Ole needs to get in there more and SAF, quite fscking with the formation play a consistant game each week. Hell go back to 1999 and watch some video for a change.

Perhaps it could even be, heaven forbid, that the other team deserved it. It may be sacriligeous and not fit in with cosy notions of superiority but ,hey, surely it's a possibility when there are 2 teams playing.

Seems like a repeat of last year to me, except that Bolton had even more of the play this time.
Veron and Man Utd don't mix, Phil Neville (Who will be a Bolton player in the not too distant future, mark my words) and Man Utd don't mix.
Bolton are one of the few teams that have beaten Man Utd more times than they have beaten us and frankly I can;t see that changing too soon :D

While I agree that Bolton may have deserved the points on the day, but Rio Ferdinand is worth more than Bolton's whole squad. Therefore expecting results over other teams is not as arrogant as the ABU media would have you believe. We have players who can play World Class Football. I think the team is just out of sorts right now. It's very likely we will break out of this early form this weekend. We must before Arsenal get too far ahead...

They struggled to score against WBA, they struggled against Middlesbrough, they struggled against Sunderland they went two down against Chelsea before waking up, they lost against an unknown Hungarian side in the first leg of their European qualifier and now they've lost against Bolton.
Only once in 7 matches, the second leg of the CL qualifier, have Utd looked good.
I'm beginning to get worried, Alex, and it goes a lot further than Bolton :(
