Try to kick it either on your laces softly or with the part fo your foot right before your toes, which will put backspin on the ball so it stays with you. But the main things is just to practice. Go outside and say to yourself, I am not stopping until i break my record. That's what I do and my juggling record is over 1000. If your record is only 3 you could porbably get to about 20 within
an hour of serious practicing.

If you can get the ball up to your thighs it is much easier to juggle with them than your feet. Although it is more valuable for your touch to juggle with your feet. Try juggling with just one foot/thigh at a time and not allowing yourself to use the other. This will help your reflexes and quickness and making using both feet seem easier. The other post is right on about touching the ball at the bottom of the laces so you can get that backspin. Hope this helps.

Just practice,do it over and over and over again. You don't really need instructions or tips on how to do it because after a few tries you will get it by yourself anyways.
Just keep doing it...
The best tip I can give you is let the ball come to you. When I just started juggling I used to kick the ball high(at thigh level or above) and it's usually like that with all starters.
The more you practice, the lower you can keep the ball,so when you juggle the ball, always let it come to you, don't try to kick it back up when it's still not close to your feet.Let the ball almost land on your foot and right when it's about to land kick it back up.
If you try to get the ball while it's still in mid air your legs will get tired faster and you'll lose balance and control much easier.

anyone have any other tricks for me for juggling? I can do well over 1000 juggles at a time, but new tricks to try are always fun.
heres my list of tricks(please feel free to add more)
nose stall
neck stall
chest stall
heel to back of thigh or butt stall
thigh to chest stall
foot stalls

and foot stalling and lifting it back up and taking foot around ball and then stalling again

ANY OTHERS?
or any stepover moves anyone has made up that tend to work well on beating 1v1?

I use the Jay Jay Okocha the most....the roll with bottom of foot, then step over with opposite leg

Some fun juggling moves are juggling and then catching it in between your calves and rolling it up one leg and heeling it back up and continue juggling(sort of like a medium rainbow kick style).
Another cool juggling trick is to juggle with just one foot without ever touching that foot to the ground.
Also I like to try to juggle while running full speed.

A cool 1v1 move that I am currently trying to get down is the flip/flap. It is a sweet move. To learn it go to ronaldinho10.com and click on videos and you will see different clips click on flip flap contra marseille. Ronaldinho does it unbelievably quick, but I think it would still work real well at human speed.

hope you have as much fun trying this stuff as I do

I didn't know it was called the Jay Jay Ocockasomethin but I have to say that's my favorite move too. I don't know if you already do this or not but try to do that move then then punch the ball forward with your rolling leg behind the stepover leg to add to the move. It makes a sweet move downright confectionary. By the way, who is jay jay anyway, if i may?

Well I really suck at juggling but I find when I start it on my laces and get 3 or 4 good ones off them then it's not that bad, until someone says something to me and i kinda forget about the ball that's flying around.

Jay-Jay Okocha is a Nigerian Footballer who plays for the Bolton Wanderers and is notorious for his cannon shots. He has the signature move I originally wrote about.

Anyone want to explain the flip/flap without me having to watch a movie since my computer is very slow?

You take the ball with the outside to one direction and then bring it the other direction with the inside of the same foot.

Did he originally invent the move? I know that he is a fairly old player, but I know that I've seen Ronaldo and Ronaldinho both do it, and Ronaldinho has become especially famous for it.

Okocha against Arsenal was vintage, loved that, and Okocha vs. Rennes is a piss take lol.

Try and find his freekick today against Charlton Athletic, may not be online yet but it's a real peach.

No the Jay Jay Okocha move was previously mentioned in the post,it's not the "flip-flap"(better known as "elastico") that Ronaldinho uses and no Ronaldinho didn't invent the move, many people (mostly brazilians) were using it before he was born but not on a professional level.
He's one of the only ones who uses it often on the professional level but many people use it on a recreational level.
