I know I have gotten a bargain for my No1 keeper. Edwin van der Sar. Was one of the best last season except for that Reyes Incident. Very solid buy for 5.5. Sorensen is also a good buy. Good luck to you. I am still going with the RISKY strategy :D
Sporting-F.C. Colombia
out: Moore, Defender, 3.5, West Brom
In:Gallas, Defender, 7.0, Chelsea
sallary used: 99.5
sallary remaining:0.5
my lineup is
----------------Taylor-------------------
laursen----gallas--southgate(c)--Nevvile G.
----giggs--------------dyer--------------
------------Viera--------------Holland----
--------Saha---------------Angel---
subs:Gallacher,Purse,Barrowdale,Yakubu
I think a very strong team on all 4 levels ...goalkeeping...defense...midfielders..strikers.
...
what do you guys think??
Before you traded Moore for Gallas, I showed your roster valuation right at the cap of 100. How did you find 3.5 M to upgrade from Moore to Gallas?
10.5 Saha
8.0 Yakuba
9.5 Angel
9.5 Giggs
7.0 Holland
8.5 Vieria
8.0 Dyer
4.0 Borrowdale
5.5 Laursen
7.0 G. Neville
4.0 Purse
6.5 Southgate
3.5 Moore (West Brom)
5.5 Taylor
3.0 Gallagher
___
100.0
By my calculations you can't drop a 3.5 player and acquire Gallas a 7.0 player.
My guess is you have not yet loaded your drafted team or you would find it wouldn't let you drop Moore and add Gallas.

Thanks for the player list Ibreak. Very helpful. Couldn't rep you though since I already did that :)

Helghallen , TVD has told me you have one of the best strike forces in Div 2 . I would like to know what they are. Mine are:
van Nistelrooy
Kezman
Stead
What do you think?

Helghallen thanks for the rep points, and no prob with the list. I administered a NBA pool last year and did the same thing, so I'm used to it :)

no my cap was around 4.5 when i dropped him it opened up a 7.5 area which I bought gallas with and have .5 left over i think you must have miscalculated or mispriced someone in there i have my team charted out on the fantasy site fully

I have double checked the roster you posted and the valuations I posted. They total 100. There is no way to fit Gallas in that squad. You must have another player on your roster rather than those drafted or posted above.
Have you in fact loaded up the drafted team into the fantasy premierleague site?
Please cite my post above and post the valuations of the players you have on your fantasy premierleague roster. Something is still wrong.
Until you convince me of my error, your trade for Gallas is not allowed.

Ilovecolumbia and Hal, I think I found the problem. We have Ilovecolumbia having drafted Kieron Dyer of Newcastle in midfield for 8.0. Ilovecolumbia I think wants Dyer, the 4.0 midfielder from West Bromwich. Depending on which one was selected, the Gallas trade works or it doesnt. I assume that Wesley wanted the West Brom Dyer, and during the end of the draft we were mistaken and marked down Kieron Dyer.
So confirm Wesley that you want the West Brom midfielder, and then your trade is valid.

I drafted as his proxy agent, and I drafted Kieron Dyer, the 8.0 Newcastle midfielder.
Now if wesley wants to trade Kieron Dyer for the other Dyer and then do the Moore for Gallas trade, that works as long as Gallas and the other Dyer have not yet been taken.

Looks like my only move for now may be a different keeper. I knew Keller probably wouldn't start, but it turns out Dudek may not either. Off to scour the lists. I may just pick up the other Liverpool keeper.

So Helghallen which Goalie do you have right now then. Is he any good? Why do you want a transfer?

He has Dudek and Keller
It seems likely that Keller will be on the bench for Spurs. Dudek and Kirkland are fighting out the starting spot for Liverpool, it has not been decided by the new manager (Benitez) who will start.
Chris would be better off having both Kirkland and Dudek (if he can afford it) as one will play.

I am half a point short of having both of them, which means I either find a different keeper or I have to make double switch and dump keller and someone else and then pick up kirkland and someone to replace the other dropped player. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Why dont you just buy Robinson and/or Dudek/Kirkland. Or just buy Robinson & Keller. You are right that is alot of descision to make. Might not work out.

WOW!! You let go Savage go. Real gamble there aint it. Bellamy would have been a gamble to keep him. Very injury prone.

Ah ha... I forgot you were drafting Hal, and I was pretty sure remembering that Kieron was the one selected. All the players in question are available, however, so make it official Ilovecolumbia or else your trade isnt valid.

What happened to gambling on Bentley??? He hasnt played yet and you already threw him on the street :)
And can I speak for Mrs. Popovic or Clement when I say that they probably will object to being characterized as a stiff
Yes, your Chelsea boys will bring in points though... I am starting to think taking no Man U and Chelsea players out of principal was a bad idea...

I am the reporrter : As the Season looms a few days away, there is controversy already in the Div 2 . known as the Very Small Rocks. The Class Acts manager Brian Alleyne has taken a risky strategy and has only made one transfer. He has given the axe to Pistone while capturing the Highly touted Carvalho. Manager Jon Chase has put on a bet with Brian Alleyne that this strategy will not work and The Class Acts will finish in the bottom 3. We will see gentleman. Next newsflash in 10 mins.
