It's gonna be a another super week at the top. Quite a two-way race... (sorry Subbuteo, you're too far right now)
ASSL: 43pts left: Hoult, Stubbs, Bent, Hasselbaink, Jenas
TVD: 37pts left: Heinze, Scholes, Zenden, Bellamy
Two words: Frank Lampard :) An another 12pts today.

Given my current position and the fact that I can NEVER seem to pick the right captain I simply will say that it's a marathon, son, not a sprint.
It's a long season, this one.

Gosh my strike force is useless. Only 21 points from this gameweek. One bad gameweek and I am second last! :(

Nice week, TVD. ( )
Somehow, Robben gained 6 pts Sunday. That combined by Zenden's goal, put you on top by 2...
That's too bad, but nothing will wipe my smile today as St-Etienne won this weekend.

Montreal beware... you failed to mention me due to my past two terrible gameweeks, but with Rooney waking up, Arsenal back scoring goals, and Villa and Everton playing well, I like my team moving forward... one bad week and to quote a current governor, "I'll be back" :)

As long as Chelsea wins or that Henry walks straight, you won't catch me or TVD...

True... but Chelsea wont keep this up, and all I care about is getting a top four spot anyways to move up to the Small Rocks next year. So no pressure if it doesnt happen.
Plus my cup performances are far superior to yours and TVD's... so its a question of the glass being half full and half empty at the same time.

Cup performances are for losers... :)
Chelsea maybe won't keep it up, but Lampard will :D
(Boy, I'm channeling TVD's overconfident spirit today...)

You are right though... Lampard is the new Henry of fantasy teams everywhere. For gods sake I have the second highest scoring midfielder (Ljungberg) and he's 40 points behind him
Cup competitions arent for losers... since 2nd place in the very small rocks is as good as 4th place. So I'll take my 3rd or 4th place in the very small rocks, as well as my finalist positions in the cup competitions

I missed the smileyface when I first read this comment. I almost overreacted and brought you up on charges for bringing disrepute to the league.
Just a caution, be careful with such statements as the news media could well take your comments out of context and thus offend those who spend lots of time creating and running these competitions.
One of the great things about our draft league is the multiple avenues we have for bragging rights. We have the two league tables and all our inter and intra league competitions.
Weekly stats and analysis updated through 11/14 points scored and salary valuation changes and posted in the Small Rocks Season Thread. Next week, it'll be posted in this thread again.

PRESS RELEASE
Coach Wiggum has been utterly disappointed by the recent display of this first team squad (but for the second time, Wiggum must be blamed for leaving Jaidi on the bench only to see him score  ). No heart, no passion, and most importantly no goals. Its time for a shake-up if FC Springfield wishes to catch in form Wanderers, Montreal United, and TVD Phenomenons, or at least to hold on to the coveted fourth spot for promotion to the Small Rocks next season.
Specifically, Wiggum has admitted today to the press that when your best striker is a Bolton defender things need to change fast. Recognizing that a strong midfield is the recipe for success, FC Springfield therefore announces the following transfers, welcoming our second English superstar to the squad, therefore breaking with tradition: Steven Gerrard
FC Springfield major change...
OUT: Hendrie, Aston Villa, Midfield, 6.4
IN: Gerrard, Liverpool, Midfield, 9.6
OUT: Bergkamp, Arsenal, Forward, 9.3
IN: Johansson, Charlton, Forward, 6.0
Watch out for FC Springfield in week 17 :)
