View Full Version : Official 2004/5 Very Small Rocks League Thread
So does this mean the reserve team is now free to all managers? This week was terrible: two of players got injured, my captain missed two sitters, my other midfielder hit the post twice, and my substitute keeper scored 8 points and a clean sheet!!!! So basically I'd like to tweak ASAP :)
I wish I could answer that. I PMed wesley and it went through so he must have cleaned up his PM inbox.
I asked him if he was in or out?
He made no changes to his starting roster, still starting the 2 long time injured players and having his highest scoring player, Gravesen, as his 3rd sub. I thought we got his attention and he'd at least adjust his line-up.
Until he replies that he is IN and will stay active, the Columbia Reserve transactions stand. If he re-engages, then the Columbia Reserve transactions are as if they never happened.
Looks like we'll have a new table leader for Very Small Rocks after this weekend. With 3 Newcastle players still to count and only 1 point behind, my money is on Jean-Michael to lead the table when the dust settles from this week.

Wesley responded to my PM and says he is still active. So the players acquired by Columbia Reserves are back in the free agent pool.
That is:
Martyn** Everton
Hibbert** Everton**
Solano** Aston Villa**
Robert** Newcastle**
Pamarot Tottenham**
Bellamy** Newcastle**
Djorkaef Blackburn**
are available in the free agent pool.

Pires is a b!tch. He should never have left that one ball for Ljungberb to miss.
Also, why on earth is he not starting? F***

well as lambert has 2 more points that my team as of now but team tvd has shaun wright phillips playing tommorow and needs only 3 points to top the charts for 11 weeks in a row.
SWP might even play in a striker role since anelka and macken are doubtful
Also team TVD is unhappy to report that one of our strikers djibril cisse is out for the year

Nice weekend...
I'd let TVD lead after today, but that's not important. What counts is the last week...
but I kind of like the new gap with the 3rd place :)
Also, hating Souness's tactics, I've made the following transfer.
Out: Bernard, Newcastle 6.0
In: Riise, Liverpool, 6.8

Congrats to Montreal United for a strong week... and also for ruining a double switch I planned to make before this weekend by getting up early and taking Riise this morning  ... anyway, plan B has been implemented after a injury full week and Arsenal's terrible performance...
OUT: Cahill, Midfield, Everton, 6.9
IN: Hendrie, Midfield, Aston Villa, 6.3
In the bank: 0.7

At least, it's the right Frenchman forward...
Imagine if it was Henry...
As for ibreak4coffee, I guess I'm sorry (not really :) ). I wanted to pull the triger a few weeks ago, but the penalties were adding up, so I waited.

and once again in first place
11 weeks in a row thanks to swp assist today
Our sister thread, with the vets who have gotten all pumped up for a fizzle mid-season draft, are opting for no draft at all, just first come, first served, when the new players are added to the database. Would the managers of this league like to go that way or hold a mid-season draft along the terms I mentioned previously?
The favor of a reply is requested by all active managers - that includes you, Wesley.
Whew, we averted our first minor challenge when Wesley recommitted to being active. As you all saw, as the administrator of this league, I won't hesitate to remove/replace inactive managers. Luckily, this got sorted out with no harm, no foul.
I'll be either deleting the Columbia Reserves team or transferring it to another league.

I vote no draft. Just easier that way. If we go the other direction, I'll be an active partaker, however. ;)
I've updated the weekly team statistical analysis and comparison between the leagues. This week it's posted in the Small Rocks season thread.
I also found an error in my rosters. I had Chris Totty and his Ajax Rick James FC as having Liverpool's midfielder Diao instead of who he really has, Fulham's midfielder Diop.
If you refer to my rosters in making trades, be advised that Diop Ful is not available and Diao Liverpool is available.
I haven't heard if anyone is web skilled enough to post our rosters on a website. I'd be glad to share my Excel spreadsheet that I try to keep up with the announced trades, but I have no webmaster skills.

So, that's 3-0 no with 5 more votes to come.
