I just cant believe that I got only 3 points from today's two games. At least I am still in 3rd place. Could be in 2nd but Windsor Wanderes beat me to it by 1 point.

Great first week!!! If only Ashley Cole doesnt hit the crossbar just before Arsenal's 4th goal, I'm at the top of the standings :o

A point of clarification on the head-to-head scoring rules.

It's our precedent that the head-to-head matches compare the points scored for the roster that week. Any points lost due to transfers do not affect the head-to-head competition, but do have a bearing on the overall table position at the end of the season. Total points you have at the end of the season will also be the primary factor for determining who is in which league next season.

You want to make some trades to increase your team value to be able to keep pace with player inflation and afford better players. But you also want to maintain your place on the table. The manager's dilemma!!

The League is so tight. This is how it reads. I am in bold

1.TVD Phenomenons - 51
2.Windsor Wanderes - 48
3.The Class Acts - 47
4.FC Springfield - 46
5.AS Saint Lambert - 44
6.Ajax Rick James FC - 43
7.Sporting FC Colombia - 34
8.KC Dynamo - 28

I better get back in the Top 2 . I offocially hate Mourinho

Not that bad of a first week with that little handball from Hasselbaink :)

Clement from WBA scores 8 pts last week... and was on the bench argh... :(

This week's transfer:

OUT: Speed, M, Bolton 7.0
IN: Milner, M, Newcastle, 7.5

Press release from ASSL

The club was on the phone again this morning as Manager Fortin looked to improve its team scoring. While the veteran Speed rendered some services to the team, the manager's special consultant (his 15 months old son, Édouard) came in with high praises of young Milner's performance.

Hoping to benefit from the cold between Sir Bobby and Dyer (doesn't look good...), young Milner could be a good roll of the dice.

Asked about David Bentley's performance on Saturday (2 pts), the manager replied: "Potential, it's all about potential, with his upside young Bentley will be a star... somewhere in 2006/2007. This is a "keeper" draft no? No, well I'll be damned..."

Oh well with the 8 pts from Clements you would be 1ST. Lucky you. I got 44 points Sat. and only 3 yesterday.

Ok, bad expression...

Meant to say 4 pts were OK, but I want a player with more [Mel Kiper] upside [/Mel Kiper]

MORE CHANGES FOR WINDSOR

Manager Pete Gillen made three roster moves over the weekend upon recommendation from owner Andrew Giffen. On Saturday the side released Frederic Kanoute in favor in in-form Aston Villa striker Darius Vassell. The young English international had a goal over the weekend.

Then on Sunday the Wanderers manager shook things up further by letting go unhappy midfielder Roy Keane in favor of new Tottenham midfielder Mendes. In addition, the squad purchased Arsenal's Toure at the expense of Ledley King. The board feels Toure, despite his larger paycheck, will help Wanderers accrue more points over the long campaign than his English counterpart.

The club plans to introduce the new trio on Tuesday morning.

ACTION REQUIRED By JM Fortin.
FYI for other managers:

JM, check out my posts in the fantasy.premierleague.com Very Small Rocks message forum.

You made two trades before Wk 1 was closed and did not announce them. Please go and post your unanounced trades.

The following are the posts I made:

JM Fortin????
I see no trade announcement that you dropped Keane and Bellamy and added Hasselbaink and Radzinski???

According to the last trade you posted they were still on your team. In that case, your last trade of Speed for Milner would fail on two accounts. 1. You would be .4 to .5 M short. 2. You would have 4 Newcastle players.

Please announce all transactions in this message forum, Make an announcement to reflect the missing moves. Thanks

Here are some more reasons why it is important to post here BEFORE making a transfer.
1. It gives others a chance to alert you they already have such a player on their team so you might avoid making the transaction and then losing the points for having to do a reversing transaction.
2. It lets others know which players you have released into the free agent pool. Since your move was done before the deadline for Wk One, another manager might have wanted to pick up Bellamy, if only they knew he was available.
3. Other managers may have made a move for either Hasselbaink and/or Radzinski. If they had, you would have been forced to release them because you failed to announce the trade in this forum and confirm you were first to claim the player.

The only penalty that I will assess for this offense is that you are prohibited from adding Bellamy or Robbie Keane back on your roster until after Week 2 is closed to give other managers the opportunity to acquire either of them. Of course, Keane is injured.

See my other posts. How and when did you acquire Hasselbaink!!???

Montréal United

Well, it didn't take long to change...

Calling on my patriotic fiber here...

Out:
Keane, TH, F 9.0 (injured until mid-sept, value will drop)
Bellamy, NUFC, F 9.0 (I'll pray all the time when he runs that he doesn't blow out his knee again)

In:
Radzinski, Fullham, F 7.5 (Oh Canada, Terre de nos aieux...)
Hasselbaink, Boro, F 10.0 (playing Newcastle... perfect for a good start)

Bank left: 0.5

Tomorrow, I'll change my mind again...

Here's the post on 08/09... Sorry, it was before you reminded me of posting them on Fantasy Premier League's forums.

I accept the penalty (not that bad as Bellamy is scheduled to blow his knee this weekend as per his contract).

Also, who needs Keane when you've got Bentley? :D

FC Springfield will re-acquire Kluivert in good time. With seedings for internal cups on the line, however, I'm going with the striker in form that will start this Sunday.
