I know that TSV 1860 Munchen were relegated to the 2. Bundesliga last season, but who were the other teams relegated/promoted?

So Frankfurt, 1860 Munchen and Koln were relegated. So who were the teams promoted from the 2. Bundesliga? Also, what happens to the teams who are relegated from the 2. Bunesliga? I think I remember reading in a German textbook at school ( :)) that there were 2 regional leagues (Nord und Sud) but I'm not sure if this is correct.

Nürnberg, Arminia Bielefeld, and Mainz 05 were promoted. The teams that are relegated from the 2. Bundesliga go to the Regionalliga.

Ok danke. Kind of a better system than we have here in Britain. But then again, you guys are more organised than us Brits at pretty much everything!

I would not bet on that. The opening match on friday was delayed more than an hour due to a defect of a power supply line in Bremen. Is this good organisation...!? ;)

Well, let's hope this wont happen 2006 in the WC...

(Ah, and you're right about the two regional leagues.)
