The first I had heard of Totti was in the paragraph about the U16s game against Watford in which he scored two. Do you have any more info?

Just in case you didn't know, the Saints updated their website during the offseason with profiles of all the youth players on scholarship, including Feli. Link follows:

He came from Setubal with Condesso not much info on him other then he is a very promsing forward but at 15 you never know what the final package will be.

Agreed. We have a handful of very talented players for their age at the moment, but it remains to be seen if they progress beyond their current abilities.

For example, we have Theo Walcott a 15 year old midfielder who is the fastest player at the club - but if that's all he brings then he may struggle. But, we also have players like Martin Cranie, Matthew Mills, Leon Best, Dexter Blackstock, Condesso and if what you are saying about Totti is true one more to add to our future. We signed Goldstein (or something like that) this week as well, so give it five years and Saints will be the place to go for fine football.

He was made U16s captain at the weekend, a game they won again. Apparently, he is skillful and scores goals. That's all I need to know - sign the kid up full-time before he buggers off back to Portugal and Saints lose him :)

Good stuff lads.
In days gone by, Saints used to bring loads of players through the youth system. Recent years, have seen supposed talent drift into non league and beyond. Mind you Bournemouth's Wade Elliott is a massive Saints fan - but he never progressed beyond schoolboy level.
I hope some of these youngsters do progress, because every club loves to see that, as it gives a strong sense of identity. Anyway Ny Saint, are you a Brit abroad?
