There were times during yesterdays match against Tirana where i would think to myself "Damn, they ve screwed it up again". Luckily enough, a 1-0 home loss was still good enough for us to reach the final qualifying round on away goals difference.
It may not have been impressive, but we made it and now we must concentrate on te next two games, against Sparta Prague. I believe if we play to our best, we will have a huge chance in becoming the first Hungarian team in i think 8, years to qualify for the champions league group stage.

The Fradi won against Sparta Prague by 1-0!

The czechs tried to dominate the match, but we had 4-5 clear chances to score a goal, and we converted 1, and hit the post once.
After the 70th min the Fradi was in attack. 2 more clear chances, but failed to convert.
All in all there was only one czech chance in the whole match!!!!
We should have decided the tie for champions league!!!!!!!!!
There were many faults, we committed 24, the czechs committed 35!!!!!

Now we have chance going through!

Yea, i was watching the game. I still think our chances are small and we shouldve scored maybe even a second goal, but overall, i was very pleased and who knows, maybe we can make it!
This would be the first time in 6 or 7 years, so it would really be great for Hungarian football.

Vfbstuttgartfan, i think you should be looking for a new favorite Hungarian team...fradi really sucks big time!!...can one really cheer for a team including third rate foreigners like leandro, kapic, botis and the like...

I say fradi 2004....good riddance!!

Its sort of a father son thing. When my dad grew up in Hungary, this is what he supported, so it was passed on. But in international tournaments, i support all the Hungarian teams. If it was Ujpest or Debrecen in this round instead of Fradi, i would ve still written up a thread saying i was happy.

I was at the Ulloi Ut this may when DVSC played Fradi and Loki was never in the game. It is true that we lost many key players during the summer transfer window and we were struggling to find our pace. It took 2 months, but now the team has finally settled and when Huszti comes back against Ujpest well be whole again. When we dispatch Millwall this thursday, once again, we'll be the only Hungarian outfit still alive in international competition.
