I am heading to Reading this weekend, on the 7th, for their match.
Any suggestions of things to do in Reading before or after the match?
Thanks.

Well if you're interested in the local pubs, for one thing, this site is always the place to find info.. Just click on Reading and you'll find info of all kinds on the page...

I would guess you know the site.. But perhaps someone here never saw it..

I've only been to Reading once but I thing theres not all that much around the ground except for a shopping complex. Its probably best to stay in town.

Yes, he is still with Reading. He ended the season last year with a knee injury but is expected to start this season.

Regardless of your original plans, almost everyone ends up at the purple turtle, mainly because it the only place in town that accepts people after 11pm regardless of what they are wearing and regardless of how drunk they are.
There are no 'sights' in Reading at all. For that kind of thing I'd suggest maybe popping along to Windsor down the road, where many people gawp at some old posh bint's large house.
As for the game, get there early. There's a new ticket system in place and it's guaranteed to be a disaster. If you can, buy a ticket in advance and don't sit near the front. There's apparently a chance of the odd thunderstorm, and believe me, if it hammers down like it did today you won't want to be sat in Row A.

I've been reading about that. Pretty spectacular from all accounts.

Game was great.
We didn't have a problem with tickets as we were covering the game from the press box.
Nice stadium in Reading, MLS should use it as a model.
Heading to West Ham here in London for the game on Tuesday night.
Thanks for all your tips.
