So, it seems as if Reims and Lille are both getting new grounds. I already knew that there were being new stadiums built for Nice and Grenoble. It's good that Lille is building a new ground as their current one has to be among the poorer in Ligue 1 and it was their lack of ambition in the past regarding facilities that saw Halihodzic leave. With a new stadium, maybe a club in their sized city could become a bigger player in French footy. As for Grenoble, what are their chances for promotion? It would be ashame to see a ground as nice as the one they are planning be used for Ligue 2 football. So many english clubs (Stoke, Reading, Huddersfield, Wigan) have built a really nice ground, but have not seen any premiership football. When it comes to Nice I thought they were expanding their current stadium. But then this year I saw they are back at the Municipal du Ray. I thought they were talking about ground share at the Stade Louis II with Monaco. Did I miss something?
