What has your team got to look forward to?

Losing at Old Trafford instead of Millmoor. Travelling around the country, and meeting fellow Londoners wherever we go (i.e. Manchester, Liverpool, etc.).

What will be your excuse for failure?

Are you kidding? We are Palace...

Young player to watch?

Wayne Routledge

Most important player?

Ultimately, Andy Johnson or Sandor Torghelle. One of them will have to become a Premiership scorer if we're going to have so much as a prayer.

Player you would most like to get rid of?

None of them. After Cardiff, they're heroes to a man. Course, a lot of them can't play football but that's another story.

Have you got the right manager?

Wouldn't trade him for a spit roast with Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. Well, I would actually but anyway...

What advice would you give him?

I am not worthy.

Will he still be there in May 2005?

Probably not. Isn't Fergie retiring around then?

Are you happy with your chairman?

Don't like him personally, but can't argue with results.

What team do you want to beat most?

Brighton, so let's hope we get 'em in a cup.

What has your team got to look forward to?

Some rather more engaging football than has lately become the norm, hopefully. Oh - and opposition defenders with brown streaks down their legs as the ball gets played up to Cisse again.

What will be your excuse for failure?

None will be offered.

Young player to watch?

As last year, Jon Welsh. Remains to be seen how much time he will be given though. Beyond that, Florent Sinama-Pongolle and Steven Warnock.

Most important player?

Micheal Owen.

Player you would most like to get rid of?

Salif Diao. Clodhopper.

Have you got the right manager?

Time will tell. CV is in order, early evidence of footballing mentality is in order.

Try to avoid mentioning corners being turned for at least your first full year in charge.

Everybody getting injured, again, for the 8th consecutive season in a row.

Gus Poyet. Ha ha ha........
Hm..........Not counting Defoe, I'd have to say Reto Zeigler. I've heard great things about him.

Most important player?

Well, its not Gary ********ing Doherty, that's for sure. I'm leaning towards Robbie Keane, but I'd have to say Carr.

Player you would most like to get rid of?

It happens to be a tie between Richards and Doherty.

Have you got the right manager?

To be quite honest, I don't think so. Only time will tell. I do believe we have the right coaching set up, though.

What advice would you give him?

Keep calm, and don't pay that much attention to the media. Oh wait, you're French, you don't understand English yet. Carry on.

As of late, yes.

My view for Newcastle

What has your team got to look forward to?

A lovely club crisis with its star, manager and chairman making fools of themselves or PK11 and Butt ressurecting their career.

What will be your excuse for failure?

Injuries as usual...

Young player to watch?

Steven Taylor, future England hopeful at centerback for his potential / Darren Ambrose to see if he can man the right wing efficiently.

Do I really need to help you here? Of course it's Alan Shearer

On second thought, Jonathan Woodgate (when healthy truly raises the team's composure)

Player you would most like to get rid of?

Lots of support for Laurent Robert, but I like him. I don't know as Viana is gone on loan and I keeping an open mind (until the first mistakes of the year...).

What advice would you give him?

Watch out for the backstabbers

Will he still be there in May 2005?

50/50. All depends on the start of the season. If it was August 2005, then an easy no following Fat Freddy's comments

Sunderland

What they're not in the Premiership??? Oh, then the smoggies (Boro)

Jason Koumas

17th.

I'm generally in agreement with the rest, but I will say that since we signed Kanu, it's equally important that both he and Koumas live up to their potential.

And I'll be bold and say Albion have a good enough squad to finish 14th.

Arjen Robben.

Most important player?

Frank Lampard.

Player you would most like to get rid of?

Veron is gone, Bogarde's out of contract...........I can't really think of anyone. I haven't seen Tiago play, but that's no reason to chuck him out the door.

Have you got the right manager?

He certainly thinks so.

What advice would you give him?

Forget your English when reading newspapers.

Will he still be there in May 2005?

Yes.

Are you happy with your chairman?

Can't complain about his "financial dedication".

What team do you want to beat most?

Probably Arsenal, although in all honesty its not that intense of a rivalry.

"Getting our title back".

What will be your excuse for failure?
Diego Forlan; at least he's good for something.

Young player to watch?
C. Ronaldo. Also Chris Eagles

Most important player?
Paul Scholes, then Rio.

Player you would most like to get rid of?
Diego Forlan, if he won't play scapegoat.]

Have you got the right manager?
Yep.

What advice would you give him?
Scholes & Fletcher are not wingers. And relax on the whiskey.

Will he still be there in May 2005?
Should be, if we succeed anyway.

Most important player?

Micheal Owen.Do you honestly not think it is Gerrard? I mean, on top of the fact that he has probably contrbuted more in the last 2 years than Owen, there is less cover for him whereas if Owen gets injured/benched you have Cisse, Baros & Sinama-Pognolle (sp?).

michaec
07 Aug 2004, 02:44 PM
What has your team got to look forward to?
Fighting it out for the title again and a better tilt at the Champions League

What will be your excuse for failure?
None. Even if Vieira goes we should get a decent replacement with the money we get for him. If he doesn't then we have the best central midfielder in the Premiership again. All other positions look solid again and Reyes and Van Persie have been added for a bit more depth up front.

Young player to watch?
Phillipe Senderos. Young centre back whose first season was wrecked by injury, but has looked sharp in pre-season. With Keown gone and no replacement signed he's in with a shout of a good few first team games this season.

Most important player?
Thierry Henry. No explanation needed.

Player you would most like to get rid of?
There are some players that I wouldn't mind if they left such as Cygan, Gilberto and Lehmann, but I would want to see a better replacement signed first. I can't truthfully say there's someone I would kick out the door right now.

Have you got the right manager?
Absolutely.

What advice would you give him?
None.

Will he still be there in May 2005?
Of course. And hopefully for many years after.

Are you happy with your chairman?
He generally keeps his mouth shut which is the best way for a chairman to be. Yes.

What team do you want to beat most?
Man Utd. Fergie winds me right up.

Which opposition player will get the most stick?
Ruud Van Nistelrooy. He's been quick to engender plenty of hatred from Arsenal fans.

Where will you finish?
Champions.
