I don't have time to analyze the drafts. Yesterday drained me.

Hope all the managers who had proxy agents appreciate the time others spent on their behalf. Hopefully, with the free agent pool open for business at NOON EST in USA tomorrow, Sunday, you'll be able to adjust and improve your drafted team.

Be sure to follow the process for all transactions. Let me review it.

1. Post your proposed change in the league message forum at the fantasy premierleague site.

Sample:
Your Team Name
Out: Player X, Team, Position, valuation
In: Player Y, Team, Position, valuation

2. If your post is the first to claim that player, then go ahead and make the transaction.

3. The player you release is then immediately available to others.

4. If you make an illegal transaction, i.e., pick a player already on another team, then you will have to reverse your illegal transaction. The player you released may already be acquired by another, in which case, you'd have to select a new, but legal, player.

This is not so much a problem pre-season, because you have unlimited squad adjustments without penalties. But during the season, the extra reversing trades cost you points.

5. Last year the posts in the message forum showed titles. It was nice to have the title reflect as much trade info as possible. For example, sample titles might be: a) Aviators 3 trade; b) Player X O/I Player Y
It was also helpful to just post one trade at a time so managers could scan the titles to ensure a player wasn't just picked. This may be mute this year as it seems there are no post titles.

Finally, I want to make a comment about some attitude I observed during the draft. There were some negative dispersions posted concerning the other managers and there were several rude and impatient remarks. It would be better if that had not occurred, but, hopefully, with the frustration of the draft behind, you can all treat each other with respect. Compete like heck, but treat each other well.

I will create a Very Small Rocks Official Season Thread in BigSoccer.

Use this thread at your pleasure, but here are some of the types of posts you should try to discipline yourselves to make:

1. Once the pre-season squad adjustments are done, it would be nice to post your roster and post a revised roster during the season whenever you make a transaction. This way, in case the message forum posts at the fantasy premierleague site have been scrolled out of site, you can still check the roster updates in this site to ensure a player is available.

2. We'll be posting competition pairings and results, although we may have separate threads for some of the competitions.

3. This is a good place to trash talk and show your bravado. But, PAHLEASE, no personal attacks. Saying, "That was a stupid move" is different than saying, "XXX is an idiot". Comment on behavior, on actions, not on the person.

I have a player on my team that supposedly is being sold to real madrid what do I do?

United Forever

Okay, this is going to be great. I am only going to make 1 move when the transfer window opens. A defender for a defender and use that squad with no change for the whole season. I might be the first to write down my roster on Sunday after I make my move.

In the short term pray he doesn't get sold. But Hal can fill you in ..I believe you will probably get to take a replacement once the database is updated (after the pending transfer)

Take your chances. No special treatment. I think I put Vieria on your team because of the disclaimers coming from Wenger. If he gets traded, then go dump him into the pool and grab another.

You could drop him right when the transfer window opens, but I suggest patience on that one, lest he doesn't get traded and another manager swoops for him.
