See a few posts above made by Hal:
"Post the picks here and in the Very Small Rocks forum at fantasy.premierleague"
So, if you've got the first pick you can list it here.
As an example, list your pick like this:
Round1
1. Henry, Arsenal, Forward, 13.0 to Class Acts
Try to list player name, their club, their position, their value and your team's name

United Forever you should post your picks here... but also on the league forum thread on the premierleague website. Hal gave you the perfect example of how to choose your picks... actually since you have first pick, and everyone seems to want Henry, just cut and paste his example as your first pick :) After that remember that for the rest of the draft, except your last pick, you will need to pick two players in a row.

Not really, but it doesn't matter since I pick 8th :(
Can we start posting picks? I know we start tomorrow officially, but if the one who's turn is on is here, then maybe he should go ahead. Of course, we'd respect the time limit for the ones not available today.

BIGSOCCER is always slow around this time and for the next 3,4 hours its hard to get in
why dont we have the whole draft on premierleague.com forums
shouldnt be a problem there
[QUOTE=tomvandamn]great idea about posting our pics on premierleague.com forum incase bigsoccer is busy
now what happens if people have no choice but to go over 100$ with their last 2 picks
I wint because i will calculate it but lets say somehow someone gets stuck with 100.5 and all the players were taken that were cheap---does he drop one of his earlier picks then who has first option on the player being dropped
I will post the remaining salary cap with the summary posts every round or two.
If a manager gets to the point he can't even draft minimum players, I will identify a higher priced player or two for him to drop back into the draft pool and select a combination of players he can afford.
Manage your finances well! Trust me, you don't want me to direct you to drop Henry or some other high priced first round player so you can complete the draft!
I probably would avoid the first and second rounders, but I would focus on the higher priced players you drafted.
Once the draft is completed, each manager will be given time to load his team. Then a specified time will be announced where managers can tap into the free agent, undrafted pool of players in the fantasypremierleague data base. That's key. Players have to be in the database to be drafted. If a new acquisition is announced and not yet in the database, he is off limits.
The way free agents are acquired is a manager will first post in the fantasy premierleague forum he plans to drop so and so and add the desired player. Include Name, Team, Position, and valuation. After submitting the post, the manager reviews the forum to ensure no other manager has just announced drafting the desired player. The first to post is the arbiter of who actually gets to complete the transaction.

Are there limits to the number of transfers/trades that can be made during the course of the year?

It is a problem because of the size limitations on the posts, for example, can't do lengthy summary posts. It is also a problem because, this year, it seems you can't reply to posts but have to make a new one and after a few posts the previous ones drop out of view. At least on BigSoccer, you can review the last page or two of posts to update you from the last summary post to avoid selecting a player already chosen. If you made an illegal draft, you will be given a little time to correct the pick to one not already drafted. If you make your pick and leave and can't get the alert you made a bad pick, you might skip your turn and get to pick 2 at your next regularly scheduled turn.

There are 9 teams in the very small rocks division because Hal, the administrator, has entered a team. As for the other problem, just delete your team from the small rocks division. I did it no problem.

Not really limitations, but rules and penalties. You can make one free transfer per week. If the player's value has increased since you acquired him, you get to keep some of the increase in your bank for future use. However, the tax or fee that fantasy.premierleague is heavily loaded for small increases so that a player has to increase about .5 M before you get to keep any of the increase.
The other penalty, is that transfers after the first free one each week cost you points. In the past it's been 2 or 4 points. I haven't checked this year's rules yet. As one who made 50 + more transfers compared to the other draft team managers last season, I had to outperform them to also recover the points I used to make a trade. I made trades to optimize use of the free agent draft pool for a particular week, i.e. loading up on players with multiple games. My incentive was to do well in our internal cup competitions.
Another fact: If you don't make some trades early to increase your overall team value, some players may inflate in value and you will not be able to afford them later when they were released into the free agent pool for injury or suspension and are now returning to fitness.

In order to avoid long threads which are not the best for BigSoccer maybe we should start a new thread after a few rounds to limit the number of pages.
Also, could we allow people who miss their allocated window for a draft pick to come in at anytime and submit their selection. Let's say for an exemple I miss my 3rd round pick (24). I'll miss also my 4th round (25). Then' I'll have to hold until the 40th pick to make three selections. Seems a bit long. We use that principle in the Road to Germany draft and it worked quite well in avoiding disbalances.
Come on United Forever, pick Henry and let's get moving...

thats not the problem the problem is the list of picks for the draft order
im listed for both groups
I am still unclear as to the manager's name and the team name for DutchFootballRulez and Helghallen.
Once I clear up those two I will repost the draft order. Dutch has the 2nd pick and Helghallen has the 6th pick in odd numbered rounds.

If you are making proxy selections for a manager in the other division, you will also need to be registered in that division to be able to make pick announcements in the correct fantasy.premierleague forum in addition to the pick announcements in BigSoccer.
So Dutch should also join the Small Rocks league as he is making proxy picks for someone.
Also, kopiteinkc is the proxy agent for one of the teams in Very Small Rocks, so I'll remind Mark to register in this division just for the draft. After the draft is done, I expect the extra teams will delete themselves from that league.
In order to avoid long threads which are not the best for BigSoccer maybe we should start a new thread after a few rounds to limit the number of pages.
It works fine to keep to one draft thread. We'll create a different thread for the season and competitions.

Use proxies!!! Actively participate in the draft!! What is no fun is for one manager to consistently be late and waste everyone else's time. We have a proxy process, use it. Think what you can do to minimize the inconvenience of the draft for others. If we all work together, it will go smoothly and efficiently. I am not going to moderate a draft that takes 24-7 for 3-4 days. We've had that experience before as well.
That said, we'll be accomodating to emergencies, but everyone should plan now to actively participate.
I'll be moderating this draft, making proxy picks for subbuteo, and making my own picks in the Small Rocks League draft, all concurrently, and I don't want waste my time trying to pull teeth from managers to get them to make their picks in a timely fashion.
And yes, United Forever can make his pick whenever he wants. Jump start this draft!!!!

It seems everyone is online except United Forever...
Montreal United I am still willing to act as your proxy... it will be especially easy as we are 7 and 8 in the order. In that event I can make four picks at once and that will help speed up the draft.
To help Brian with the format. Simply cut and paste the following and update with your latest pick.

It was actually not for me as I'll have a huge proxy picks list going out tonight to another participant.
