PSG - Caen - back to the "parc des princes"
from: http://www.lequipe.fr/Football/20040803_164000Dev.html
The FFF (french football federation), met the offices of the federal counsel this monday. PSG accepted the agreement of the CNSOF, that PSG's first home game against Caen is to be played at the Parc des Princes on the 14th August at 17:15 (CET)
The national olympic comitee and sport francaise have proposed new legislations to the FFF, to transform the inferior 500,000 euros penalties handed out to clubs. They suggested that it would be an obligation of the capital club to play its first game on neutral ground due to violent clashes between Parisan supporters and Strasbourg fans last may. In acceptance of the promise, PSG have banned fans from the game against Strasbourg on February 19th 2005.
To change the decision by the CNSOF, the FFF noted the clubs efforts in attempting the fight against hooligans, notably the renovation of the Parc des Princes with new security infrastructures now in place. And also the stadium recently getting the green-light and signature from the Contrat local du sociale in June 2004. Mid-July, the High Commisioner of appeals of the FFF had decided to suspend the Parc des Princes and exile PSG more than 100 miles away from home for their 2nd match of the season.
So PSG get to play at home for the first game.... :p
