Nah, nevermind, kiss my ass.
Have fun on your 2 days rest, I know we've enjoyed our what... week and a half, 2 weeks?
Have fun in your empty stadium tonight. In response to that, Cunningham said, I s**t you not... http://www.thecrew.com/features/020909_murphy.asp...
"People don't want to pay money to see me and Brian McBride and some other cute boys running around in shorts?"
So now we've figured out why the northenders goto the game. Hmmmm....
Tell McFragile to watch out for that blade of grass.
LA, we're comin for you next.

This is where your downfall was. I'm sure everyone but you and you 5 other Wizards supporters may have shown up for this one. USSoccer wanted a good crowd/support for this one.
Hunt likes us more, anyway.

Dear Columbus,
Please win and please have a good turn out. See you have a better chance of beating the Gals and if you get a good turn out they might let you host the final.

From that same article....
"The game, which kicks off at 8:00pm on Tuesday night, will certainly not have close to the 24,422 fans who came to Crew Stadium for the last home game, a 0-0 draw with the New England Revolution. Cunningham seemed shocked at the prospect of a small crowd coming to the game."

Yeah, that's the reason why you got the better GM between the two of us...

"Might" host the final? They will host the final. Topper and Loney both know that, and they know the only way they have a chance to host the game is with a Wizards win. So welcome on the bandwagon guys, I'll be sure not to boot your ass off it too hard after the game.

Wow. This gets my vote for most unintentionally pathetic post in the Rivalry forum. Ever.

Stick around.
There's all sorts of inane posts from the newly-anointed Rivalry Village Idiot.
Did you hear about the time he proclaimed "SCOREBOARD" before the game even started?

I do so look forward to these completely mindless posts from Lucid (possibly the most inaptly named character on all of BS, perhaps in all of cyberspace)
I particularly enjoy attendance smack from one of the half dozen KC fans.
And, breaking new ground (as opposed to just his usual breaking wind) Lucid is venturing into the brave new world of GM smack!! Boy, now THERE'S an unmined source of hilarity:
"Oh yeah??? Well OUR GM can write a check for the light bill with JUST ONE HAND, so neener, neener, neener!!!!"
The mind doesn't just reel; it staggers like a drunken sailor on the last hours of a 3 day pass in Hong Kong.
Thanks again for making even guys like Andywrestlingwithpeter5 look witty.

Wow... how's that for a choke job? Nah, I wouldn't actually consider it a choke job, I'd call it a bad F'ing coaching job. Preki isn't Chris Henderson, I think his heart was about to explode. Sub him out? Nah.... He had no one left on the bench. Chris Brunt at forward? HE'S AN F'ING DEFENDER, AND HE SUCKS TOO!!!
That's usually a bad thing when you go into a 2nd overtime and you used up all your bench players even though you still had some subs left about 45 minutes ago. And why the hell does the USOC have a 5 sub limit rule? That makes no sense.
Well that's what playing away will get ya, as well as bad coaching. If this wasn't football season, it would suck, but since it is, and the Chiefs won when they shouldn't have against a team from Ohio, (As the Crew won when they shouldn't have) I can't complain much.
Hope those 842 people enjoyed the comeback, it was a great one.
And here's my favorite quote of the day....

Yeah, sure, they "wanted" good crowd support, but it's not like they were actually going to get it.
Good job C-bus.

You guys should just hang it up and call it a season. The only thing more embarrassing than K.C. is Chicago.

Yes, I am embarassed with the turnout. Made me think the game was in KC.
With over a month of planning, I'm sure Jim Smith can promote the final.
I won't brag about this victory at all, I'm just coming off the biggest high since shagging Sweeper's mom and I need a rest.

Didn't see that one coming.
Come to a USOC game in KC and you'll see how wrong you are, and if you don't know what I'm talking about don't bother. You can ask some of the Chicago fans that came down for last years game and they'll tell you.

SInce there were so few people (I can't imagine it was over 4,000) they could sit anywhere and most of them sat in the West stands, so the sun wasn't in their eyes. Of course, that's the camera side,so what was on TV was the mostly empty East side.
It was bad, but not quite as bad as it looked.
And Smith was VERY pissed off at having to wait so long before he could start promoting the match. I have serious reservations about the guy (OK, I think he's an asshole) but he CAN put butts in seats if you give him half a chance.

Which he probably won't get. The USSF keeps pretty tight control on marketing and promoting the Open Cup - part of the reason we got such a bad crowd for the Final last year.
Wait, 4K is starting to look pretty damn sexy right now, isn't it? Oh, the reason you can't imagine it was over 4K tonight is that it was a whopping 2,103. Move the game to Fullerton.

Pity. US Soccer couldn't peddle a piece of ass on a troop ship or a cold beer in hell.
They ought to stick to what they do best: attending meetings, dummying up expense accounts and glomming on to whatever freebies a sponsor is passing out this week. Soccer is too important to let those dimwits anywhere near it.
And Fullerton? I was thinking more along the lines of Chillicothe.
