For those of you that have got a new kit from the club or have been to Arsenal World of Sport or the shop at Highbury can you tell me if the O2 logo is felt this year? Or is it some type of plastic/vinyl?

I got mine from a soccer store in Claremont CA and the O2 was felt. Don't know if it's the "official" one that is on sale in the Arsenal shops, but it cost enough for me to think it :-)

Thanks for the replies. The reason I ask is saw some people complaining about having vinyl Vodafone logo on ManUtd tops and all the blame was on Kitbag but I have gone to 2 shops here in the US and seen the same thing. Neither had Arsenal kits so I could not see how it was done.

Off topic, but can I say that I still hate the blue away kit? What a load...
Please tell me you didn't buy the blue one. Maybe if noone buys it the club will realize they have to have something better. A question, though, what would we wear if we're at Chelsea? Home red???

The other option is that we use our third kit which is the yellow one from last season.

I personally like the new away shirt more than the new home one. if the yellow piping on the new home shirt were white instead i would like it more though. the yellow piping on the red & white home shirt is just hideous to me. I know about the superstition of non-yellow shirts but... anyway. This is better than the pepsi can.

AAARRGGHHH. Arsenal is not a blue team. It would be liking the watching the Cowboys line up in burgundy. For the sake of tradition, please boycott the away strip.

So should we start a drive to get the blue removed from the crest?

I got the blue one for a present and like it a lot. It's very classy, and the red crest really stands out. I think that if you saw the blue shirt in person, you would like it more. Even though the yellow strip is more "traditional," I look horrible in yellow and so never buy them.

This is all about $$$. Every club does it. I truly believe that Arsenal's traditional colors are Red + white for 1 kit AND Yellow + Blue for the other! That's Red and Yellow the primary colors for both kits....IMHO.
I thought the Yellow away kits from last yr were hideous too, UNTIL my brother came back from Paris and had bought me one. It looks really cool and for some strange reason many people that see it like it.

I'm lukewarm on the blues right now....but they're definitely better than the Pepsi can blues from a couple of years ago.

May I ask how much it is, and do any of these stores have an online store?
Cheers

Rick, there's a catalog company here in the states called "Eurosport" that is now selling both of the new kits (home/away). The ad says nothing about..."not available until X date" so I assume you can order now. Their online site is www.soccer.com
