Yeah Boxed goals are quality, we do that over the field near me becuase there is a goal and then there is 2 rows of trees then the field continues behind, so we get string and tie them up to the trees kind of using the trees at stantions. It's so good playing in a goal that you've made all nice tight and quality, and scoring great goals in them.

This is by my house. Literally like 300 yards from my house. Its the best picture i could find. They renovated it though, thats a picture when it was grass. Now its field-turf with lights :D
Two whole fields with lots of space between and all around them. No taxpayer money involved either

In Holland most club-pitches close during the summer months and they are sowing the grass again. The goals are taken down and you can't play on the pitch because there usually is some lazy beer-drinking groundsman watching the pitch all day (and come after you with a pitchfork if you do get on the pitch).
There are some pitches that stay open for the public all summer though, but usually the quality isn't very good. Don't be surprised if you sprain your ankle on these pitches.
Also there are quite a few clubs these days that have a new style astroturf pitch. Just climb over the fence and you can play.;)
And there are loads of people who just play for fun in the park all year around. No footballboots, jumpers for goalposts.

well my soccer coach for school always leaves the goals and nets up during the summer. We just use the bet up nets from last season but hey its better then nothing. Really cool too cause me and others from the team play 7 vs 7 or 8 vs 8 and have a real good time with it too.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's Astroplay, the new turf. It's very nice to play on, but it's not grass.

Around here there are an abundance of fields, probly more than 20 that are open to public. The pitch on them is ok, but not the best. My friends dad is a proffessor as a college 10 minutes away and we have permission to play on their nicest field. They have box goals and the grass is like the grass found on golf courses - i dont know what kind it is, but i love it and the ball rolls so smoothly. We can play their anytime, except when the field is muddy so that we dont tear it up. I also have a goal in my backyard that i use with my brother and friends, but i still always prefer a real field.

Another good place to play is Bowling Greens, the turf is lovely!
