Own Goal Hat-Trick

I cant help but feel this way. we've lost most of our talent. the rest of it has a season ending injury, and all weve done is signed has-beens aged 32-35.
i dont think that things bode well for us, at all.
maybe im just being pessimistic, but i am just having a hard time when it comes to thinking of things about this team and the upcoming season that inspire me with confidence...

If we were in the premiership then I'd agree with you... But division 1, while respectable, is not that talented.... Those has-been, aged 32-35, players that your upset Leeds signed, 3/4 of division 1 would of loved to of signed...

Things aren't looking too bad, though the injury bug seems to still be around. You guys have made quite a few signings, and hey, you still exist! ;)
With Michael Ricketts, Julian Joachim and Brian Deane you have some players who can score goals--though they haven't been on great form lately. The Defence looks decent, with Radebe, Kelly, Duberry, Butler and some promising youngsters. Things look fine in goal, too.
The big problem is midfield where Bakke is out for the season and Johnson is out till the new year. That leaves you with David Batty, Jermaine Wright and I thought Mark Kinsella had signed but can't see him on the squad list I'm looking at.
Not a bad "Championship" squad, though it will be a tough to get into the promotion places, I'd say. Good luck!

Yeah, so don't know what happened to the Kinsella move. Apparently he went to Walsall.
Defence looks very strong, though, including keepers.
Matthew Spring sounds promising, though.
First game tomorrow!
