Naive Jersey/Liner question

My daughters team just got her first "real" (select) jersey and its an Adidas with a mesh liner. Sorry, I don't know the outer fabric, but it feels hot.

She plays in hot texas weather. Will this liner make her cooler? Or should she tear the damn thing out?

The mesh liner will wick moisture away from the body and keep her dry...it's sorta like a built-in undershirt...and the under******** being a technical fabric.
