View Full Version : European League Champions this year

Instead of predicting results by a specific domestic league, I am proposing a competition that will predict the winners of 10 major european domestic leagues, as well as the runner-up's. For each correct guess, 10 points are awarded. Additionally, the prediction game could include the winners of the champions league and the UEFA cup. Since I am new to Big Soccer, I'm not sure if such a thread already exists. Otherwise, I think its a worthwhile competition.
I propose these ten leagues:
1) Italy
2) Spain
3) Germany
4) France
5) England
6) Portugal
7) Netherlands
8) Belgium
9) Greece
10) Scotland
I also propose a deadline of August 14 to submit choices. Anyone is welcome to play of course.

Its probably best to leave Champions league out of the format, as it will take shape much later in the year.

Definitely an interesting choice... I feel an Aston Villa pick should deserve 10 extra bonus points if it comes true!!!

what a rubbish game.
What because im an arsenal fan doesnt mean im going to praise the squad even if i dont realy believe it. Jose Antonio Reyes cost 20million, he will be second or 3 top scorer this year. he is a better, much better TALENT than raul, im not saying he is crap, no way, but at 20 reyes is a better talent. hes quick, skillfull and has a sweet left foot.
drogba and kezmann have both played already. Drogba scored on his dubet and kezmanns scored 2 or 3 times already.
premier league has the better players and talent, by far and realy those who disagree are fools, ask any one who is a football pundit and they will tell you the premiership is top dog, dont just say its the best because you support a team in the la liga or serie a.
SERIE A IS CRAP, im not stupid i used to love it when they had the stars, they just dont have enough of them or quality now. no serie A matches are filled up with fans any more, the quality and money side of it has fell big time. i dont bover with it any more, its a shame though coz it was once the place to be in footy terms.
christosap, your qwuer.
the pele-rooney thing, you say and about my topic is just plan stupid?or the people who bring it up. your a fool. rooney is a far better player than pele, he 18, hes scored and proven himself already agaisnt the worlds best in euro 2004.
the time pele was around there was hardly any world class players who that no way near can compete with the stars of today, he is a overated pile of dog poo. he was good in his time, when you bring the fact that players were less skillful, fast and putting it straight, not as good as players today. no way near.
ive said it before and ill say it again, give pele a massive load of lucazade and energy pills, dump in him to a top league and lets see if he can hack it with the real big boys. he wouldnt even be better than an average player.
i cant stand people who dont realize the quality of the best players of today, those ones believe, i mean how can you think that players over the past and futer are going to to still stay the same quality and in say 200 hundred years people will still think pele was the best.
he is dead, over-rated let him go same with all these other players who played before the mid 80's they cant compete with the players today.
whats all this about ronaldinho he is quality, but henry is his dady in terms of everything to to with being a better player, same with rooney infact ronaldinho is starting to get over-rated too. i not saying hes ********e but you lot bum him too much way way way too much. wake up and look at his teeth people. why did he snub man utd?? barcalona will always live in real madrids shadow as though man utd are better than madrid.
maradona was fun to watch besides being a small fat greasy kebab cooking cheat, he is nothing to speacial. id have owen any day over that fat **********.
this is why i love topics like this, i know im right, and there nothing better than a good argument over something.
i win!!!
